That's what they both felt: Shame. They believed that they were not enough for each other, even if deep down they felt that this time things would be different and therefore they had to abandon all the demons of the past. Diana's self-esteem had always had ups and downs due to her loveless marriage to Charles, while Dodi's had always been low because ever since high school he had been mocked for being Egyptian, making it impossible for him to integrate in the midst of society.

The following morning it was Dodi's father who woke them up "Get up, you idiot, it's half past nine"

"Yes dad, I was awake for hours..." he replied embarrassed "If you're still in bed in five minutes I'll skin you alive, I promise" as soon as his father was in front of the door he concluded with "Anyway I love you so much" Dodi didn't believe it and while he raised his eyebrows with a disdainful expression, he lowered his head so as not to be seen by his father, he said "I see it, I love you too..." then he turned to wake Diana "Good morning love" she smiled and Dodi smiled back, then continued to speak while caressing her face "How can you be so beautiful even when you just wake up?"

"Dodi, are you kidding? Look at me, I look like the Loch Ness Monster"

"What the fuck are you talking about?"

"That I'm ugly, but you don't care..."

“Why aren't you, what kind of talk are we having?”

"I don't know, but you love me and you're biased..."

"Yes, with all my heart and even if I weren't biased I would still say that you are beautiful, now let's go before my father kills me and then you" "Okay" they went down the stairs talking cheerfully and when they were outside the Villa Al-Fayed they went for a swim in the sea and it was another of the best days of their lives: they joked, laughed and teased each other ironically all the time, then they looked at each other and both exploded with passion, Dodi wanted to join Diana but the presence of his father embarrassed him, she saw him and decided to kiss him away from the gaze of Mohamed Al-Fayed and the paparazzi.

It was a long and passionate kiss... The hours passed quickly, yet Dodi and Diana were tireless, they continued to joke and talk without interruptions even on the way home, he forgot about his father's presence and without thinking twice, closed his eyes and kissed her, Diana suddenly stopped him and they both looked at Mohamed for a few seconds, once they arrived at Villa Al-Fayed after a tiring boat trip, they dedicated themselves to themselves, Dodi watched Zeffirelli's "Romeo and Juliet" on TV until when he wasn't distracted by Diana, he admired her for a long time in her white nightgown and studied her carefully, they looked at each other and he got lost in her blue eyes, he smiled and she smiled back, then she started walking purposefully towards the bed and "Dodi" sat next to him

"Tell me everything, babe"

"How am I?"

"You're amazing Diana, amazing!" She blushed and smiled at him, after a while her expression changed completely and she said to Dodi "I feel guilty..." he put his arm around her shoulders and asked her "Why so?" "You kissed me in front of your father..."

"Oh, no, it's not a problem for my father, in fact he urges me to be with you, it's just that I'm a little embarrassed to kiss you or touch you in front of him, but don't ever think that I'm ashamed of you, because I'm not it's not like that at all..." Dodi gave her a mischievous smile and watched her raise his eyebrows, clearly communicating that he wanted to join her

"I understand perfectly what you want to tell me" having said this, he began to watch the movements of Dodi's left hand, which rested on her back, then moved it lower and she said confused "What are you doing?"
