A sharp tap on the window told Y/N that the daily post had arrived. She jumped up and practically ran to the window. She unlatched it and stroked the owl's beak.
"Thanks for the post," Y/N murmured to the owl as she took the letters from its claws.
"Hurry up Y/N!" Oscar crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.
"Sometimes I wish I had time to do things normally without a huge lump of a brother trying to hurry me up every ten seconds!" It was Y/N's turn to roll her eyes this time.
"Stop squabbling and bring the post Y/N!" Her father chuckled. Y/N did as she was told and walked over to the kitchen table.
"Kit list for you, Oscar," she muttered and frisbeed him his letter, which (may I add) was caught with ease, "Minitsry's writing again Dad."
Y/N sat down and flipped over the last letter, it said her name on it! And had a Hogwarts wax seal!
"I've got a letter from Hogwarts!" Y/N announced to the room with excitement.
"Just in time, dear, open it!" Her mother smiled at her from the other side of the table. Y/N opened the letter and pulled it out. It said this:

Dear Miss Y/L/N,
We are pleased to inform that you have been accepted into Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Please see enclosed list for needed equipment.

Prof. M. McGonogall

"Oh exciting!" Squealed Y/N as she looked around the table to her families beaming faces.
"Oh we're very proud, Y/N, we'll be visiting Diagon Alley for Oscar's things today, go and get ready!" Her father said to her and chuckled behind his newspaper, "You to, Oscar, no dilly dallying! No arguing either!"
And with that, the two ran upstairs to get ready.

I hope you enjoyed the first chapter! I know it's short but it is the first! (If that's even an excuse!) I'll have a writing schedule out soon!
