This what maya bishop tells herself every single day. No matter how perfect a person is for her, she will always find some reason to reject them if they cross the line of a hookup. Nobody knows why maya is the way she is, well other then maya bishop herself. You see wednesdays are maya's self-care night, these usually take the form of one-night stands.

Maya has always been the sort of person who strives to do the best, to be the best and she won't take anything other than that.

Carina deluca has always been the sort of person to do her best, always trying her hardest even when shes been previously knocked down and carina accepts this wholeheartedly.

Carinas incredibly close with her brother, she talks to him about the people she finds cute, the people she forms crushes on and goes out on walks with her best friends Arizona Robbins and Jo Wilson daily. Especially loving when they pass a hot person - because Jo and arizona are married and carinas single, they point them out to her and tease her about it for the rest of the week. Attempting to muster up some courage in carina to get her to finally ask someone out.

And carina was used to this routine by now but even though she had never really been on an official date, she always dreamed of the perfect date with the perfect person. She would be nervously awaiting their arrival at the door, pacing back and forth, worrying about what she was wearing. They would pick her up, her favourite flowers in hand, they would drive up onto a hill and have a picnic in their car. Stargaze, cuddle for warmth beneath the blankets and seal the night with a kiss.
That's the dream.

Carina was on the edge of giving up. She had no fight left in her. Through the small gap in the door, carina deluca saw the most perfect blonde headed woman, in the most perfect uniform, she felt as though she must have been dreaming. It was like hell had brought her heaven. That was when her head began to feel heavy, she closed her eyes and her head fell to one side.

A glimpse of long brown hair poking through the gaps of the hospitals doors was brought to mayas attention.
Surely they've already evacuated all these floors already? I mean maybe they've just missed her?

Maya, not wanting to waste anytime, reached down and pried the doors open. And there she was. The most breathtaking woman maya had ever seen, it was like she was in a dream.
Sparks flew left and right, both figuratively and literally.

No maya, you cannot be thinking that.
Monogamy is for the weak, eyes forward. Get her to safety and then carry on with the call as normal. Don't you dare break protocol and go with the woman into the ambulance and over to the nearest hospital grey Sloan.

Maya why are you already on your way to grey Sloan, the beautiful woman's fingers intertwined with yours. Maya this isn't you. Leave, leave before you can no longer back out.

It was as though maya knew this woman would change her life for good, would mean everything to her. It was like the universe was pulling her to stay. The woman was holding onto her for dear life and maya didn't let go.
