★chapter-15★

Hyunjin POV

felix had called me to hang out with him for lunch, he said he wanted to talk. i didn't know what that meant, but based on all the relationship movies i've watched, it couldn't be good. my biggest fear was that it was a break up. especially since felix had been really distant with the group since the day the whole intak-minho-han fight happened.

me and felix were sitting across from each other in what i would call an awkward silence. when felix opened his mouth, i held my breath without even realizing, hoping that this had nothing to do with a break up.

"hyunjin." he said, looking around almost alertly. "don't tell anyone, i mean anyone, well except jisung and minho, that i told you this, but, the flyers... jyp found out."

i was surely not expecting this. minho and han were both at seokjins house today and there was no way to contact them and tell them as soon as possible.

"you're joking, right?" i asked, even though i knew from his expression that he wasn't joking one bit. he shook his head.

"i.. what do we do?" i asked after a moments silence. "minho's the leader but he's off at seokjins place with han. we have to wait. we can discuss this with minho later when he's back, we'll find another way."

"hyunjin..." felix said, taking a deep breath.

"i got kicked out of the company."

it took me a few minutes to process what the younger had just said. my eyes started to water, tears threatened to burst out but i held it back. felix, the first person i fell in love with, gone.

"im sorry." felix said, smiling sadly and looking down to the table. "its all my fault."

"don't blame yourself." i said with a slightly shaky voice. "its that old gits fault."

when felix didn't talk, i stood up, making him look up for once in a while. i moved over to the other side of the table.

"can you stand up?" i asked.

"sure, but why?" he stood up and looked at me with curiosity for a second before i hugged him.

"is it really over?" i asked. "what's going to happen to you? to us?"

he hugged me back; i felt tears falling down on my shirt.

"i... i don't know." felix said in a shaky voice which resulted me to the fact that he was crying.

"it can't be over just like this, it can't be..."

"hyunjin." felix said for the third time today, and neither of the news he said after my name meant anything good, my name is cursed. "we have to break up, you'll be too busy to -- to be in a relationship with me... a- and.. ill have to pursue another job, won't i?"

i backed out of the hug and looked at felix in the eye with tears now trying to get out of my eyes.

"no, we can't."

"it's the only way." felix said, looking like he wanted to take back all his words. so did i. i waited for him to say this was all a joke, just a little prank, and that nothing was going to happen to them. but what he waited for never came.

"im sorry, hyunjin."

i watched, frozen, as felix walked out of the restaurant. my hands were trembling, and it was summer so everywhere was extremely hot, including the restaurant. but despite the hot weather, my heart felt cold, it felt numb.

i sat down on the seat felix had been sitting on since my legs could no longer support myself. a tear drop fell down from my eyes, and then another one. before i knew it, i was crying, and i didn't try to stop myself.

felix is gone.
