Non-Killer AU: Stu Macher has been secretly making a song based on how he feels and no one even his friends don't even know about the song. The song is about Stu having to put on a fake happy face to get through his day, when really he's very depressed. Stu decided to sing it at the talent show at school.

(3rd POV....)

Everybody that goes to the school are in the gymnasium for the talent show including the parents of the kids that are doing the talent show. Billy, Sidney, Randy, and Tatum found some seats in the middle row along with Stu's mom, "Hey, Where's Stu?" Randy asked, looking around to see if Stu is anywhere near.

"He's backstage, getting ready." Mrs. Macher replies to Randy's question, causally. "Backstage?!" "Getting Ready?!" Billy and Randy exclaimed at the same time, confused as hell. "Yeah. He didn't tell you that he's in the talent show." Mrs. Macher shrugged. "No!" Billy shook his head. "Oh, well, he's in the talent show." Mrs. Macher shrugged again.

Before Randy could ask a question, the music teacher, Miss. Olga, walks onto the stage, "Students and parents, welcome to the annual talent show!" Miss. Olga announced. Everybody claps, loudly before quieting down. "Thank you. Now, this talent show is about people showing off their incredible talent and do we have some that for you, so, lets get this talent show started!" Miss. Olga announced. Everybody claps, loudly before quieting down.

Miss. Olga introduces the first person, a boy named Sam Clark who showed his talent of juggling while standing on a exercise ball with one leg. He juggled four basketballs without dropping any of them or falling. At the end when he finished, everybody claps, loudly while Sam gets off stage and Miss. Olga comes back on, before they quiet down.

Miss. Olga introduces the second person, a girl named Jessie Ross who showed her talent of voice impression of celebrities while making people laugh. She used different voices and made jokes which made the audience laugh. At the end when she finished, everybody claps, loudly while Jessie gets off stage and Miss. Olga comes back on, before they quiet down.

Miss. Olga introduces the other four teenagers with their talents which amazed everybody. After the four teenage was finished and walked off stage, Miss. Olga came back on the stage, "So much good talent, so sad that the show is ending soon but lets finish this off with some singing. Please cheer for Stu Macher!" Miss. Olga introduces Stu.

'Singing?!..' Billy, Sidney, Randy, and Tatum all thought in confusion. Everybody claps, loudly as Stu comes with Miss. Olga adjusting the microphone before they quiet down. Miss Olga left the stage and Stu turns on the microphone, "Hi, I wrote this song myself. It's about how I feel and how I think." Stu sighs with a smile.

Stu nodded at Miss. Olga to play the music and she starts it.... (Start the music video)

(Background: Hey, put on a happy face, then everything's okay, put on a happy face)

Stu rock his head to the beat that played for about 11 seconds before he started singing,

Stu: Flip the switch, flip the stove, world gone mad, let's start the show

Billy, Sidney, Randy, and Tatum jaws dropped when they heard Stu singing while Mrs. Macher  was close to tears.

Stu: Get your kicks and let's go, if you're sad, don't let it show

Stu waves a little at his friends and mom.

Stu: Say I'm happy, I'm happy, I'm happy today (I'm happy, I'm happy, I'm happy today)

Stu smiles.

Stu: They say put on a happy face 'cause we're tick-tock, tick-tock, ticking like a timebomb

Stu felt the nervousness that he was feeling early slip away.

Stu: Hey, put on a happy face, then everything's okay, put on a happy face

Stu started to show confidence. He leans forward with the microphone stand following his moves.

Stu: Hey, put on a happy face, then everything's okay, put on a happy face

Stu smiles more as he notices the look on his friends faces.

Stu: Say you're good, say you're fine, tell 'em everything's alright

Stu stands up straight with the microphone stand following his moves.

Stu: Hollywood on your timeline, telling you what to wear

Stu smiles, apologetically at his mom but she just nods her head, understanding him.

Stu: And what to like and how to be. Say I'm happy, I'm happy, I'm happy today (I'm happy, I'm happy, I'm happy today)

Stu looks around the gym while bouncing his leg, anxiously.

Stu: They say put on a happy face 'cause we're tick-tock, tick-tock, ticking like a timebomb

Stu stops being anxious and gains more confidence.

Stu: Hey, put on a happy face, then everything's okay, put on a happy face

Stu takes his microphone off the stand, aggressively and fast, and crouching down, singing in the microphone while holding the stand to side, still bouncing his leg.

Stu: Hey, put on a happy face, then everything's okay, put on a happy face

Stu stands back up, still hold the stand and bouncing his leg.

Stu: Death of my generation (Death of my generation)

Stu frowns as memories from times where he felt alone, unwanted, and sad.

Stu: Ah-ah-ah

Stu looks at friends to see them with smiles/grins on their faces, feeling pride for their friend

Stu:  Death of my generation (Death of my generation)

Stu then, looks at his mom to see her almost in tears with a smile on her face, proud for her son. Stu rocks his head to remaining beat before singing again.

Stu: Hey, put on a happy face, then everything's okay, put on a happy face!

Stu smiles in glee as he throws down the microphone stand. Everybody started clapping along with Stu's singing.

Stu: Hey, put on a happy face, then everything's okay, put on a happy face!

Stu finishes the song off with a smile. Everybody stands up and cheers for Stu as Stu scratches his head, shyly as Miss. Olga comes on the stage, picking up the stand and putting the microphone on it, "And that concludes the talent show. Please, exit the school building, safely and have a good night." Miss. Olga says to the crowd with a wave as they get up and walk out the gym.

Stu gets his stuff and left to find his friends and mom, "Hey guys!" Stu greeted his friends. "Stu, that was amazing!" Sidney exclaims. "Yeah! How come we didn't know you could sing?!" Tatum exclaims a question to Stu. "Well, I didn't think I could sing either." Stu replies with a shy smile. "Your voice sounds wonderful, sweetie." Mrs. Macher compliments her son. "Thanks mom." Stu said.

"Well, this calls for a celebration dinner!" Mrs. Macher says with a excited smile. "Wooo!!!" Randy and Billy yelled in excitement. Stu laughs and they walked to Mrs. Macher's car and she drives to a steakhouse where they talked, ate, and laughed before Billy, Sidney, Randy, and Tatum came back to Stu's house and spend the night there.
