Belle Andrea King. That's me--19 years of age and nominated for multiple awards in the Star Awards. The Star Awards is a big event in any and every celebrity's life. You may think that my parents must be so proud of me achieving so much at the age of 19.. Well, they're not. But it's okay because I myself am not proud of them either.
"Ms. King, we're here." my driver says interrupting my thoughts before I could think about my rough past. I push the thoughts at the back of my mind. That was years ago, this is now. I am here at the Star Awards and this is now. I thank him and climb down the limousine. I am immediately greeted by tons of paparazzi and flashing lights. I give my best smile and show off my pearly whites just like my publicist taught me.
I walk down the red carpet careful not to trip on my long gold dress. I successfully make my way in the hall where the awards will take place without tripping. Like the usual, an interviewer from Starworld comes up to me and asks me the usual questions.
"You look lovely tonight, Belle! And your dress looks divine! Who are you wearing?" she asks with a smile.
"Thank you! You look lovely as well. This beautiful dress was made by the amazing Alex Franco!" I say with a confident smile as I look at my gold dress. (A/N: Belle's outfit is on the side.)
"Wow! THE Alex Franco!" she widens her eyes. I giggle at her silliness. "So we heard the opening song for your show 'That Summer' will be Summer Love by One Direction and is gonna be sung by One Direction themselves!"
To be honest I actually didn't want a snobby teenage boy band to be in my show but the producers said that it would be good publicity for the show. But of course I couldn't tell that to the camera or else my career would be down the toilet. So I had to do what I had to do.. Lie.
"Oh yes! I'm actually looking forward to working with them because they're not only going to sing the opening song, but they're also going to appear in a couple of episodes. You better watch out for that Directioners!" I say to the camera.
"Well you heard it from Belle King herself, folks. One Direction will be appearing in her show That Summer!" she says to the camera. Her attention diverts to somewhere near us. "Oh look, here they come right now!" I follow her gaze and see five boys approaching towards us.
"Hey boys!" the interviewer greets them. I get tempted to walk away but then again I care about my career. The boys greet her in different voices and a British accent, except the cute blonde with the Irish accent. "So can you tell us a bit about your special appearance in Belle's show That Summer?"
"All we can say is that it'll be great. And we are absolutely looking forward to working with Belle for That Summer." The Irish one, Niall says. He's such a sweetie. I give him a sweet smile.
"I LOVE THAT SHOW!" that Louis guy yells. I laugh at his silliness. These guys seem down to earth. The fact that they're not afraid to show their true selves in front of the camera just proves that they are down to earth.
"So what can you say Belle?" the interviewer asks me.
"I'm excited to work with them because they seem like a fun bunch." I say with a giggle.
"Well thank you Belle and One Direction! We're totally excited to see the new episodes of That Summer! Stay tuned, we'll be right back!" she says to the camera. The paps request for a picture of me and the boys so we pose by the backdrop.
The night went by pretty fast. I won a couple of awards which I'm very grateful for. Soon enough, the night is over. I'm in the limousine with my oh-so-kind driver when my phone rings. I check to see that my publicist, Charlene, is calling. I pick up the call.
"Hi Charlene." I say.
"Hello dear! You did great tonight. Everyone saw the chemistry between you and Niall." she says. "And because of that, we're pairing you up with Niall in your show!"
"What?" I'll admit, even though this Niall kid seemed nice, I didn't want to be paired up with him because I already had an ON CAM lover; Dylan. "Wait, I only agreed to have them in my show because you promised there would be no pair-ups!" I complain. My driver looks at me because of my too-loud voice.
"That's what the viewers want, dear. And what the viewers want, the producers also want. We can't go against the producers. You know that." she says calmly. She's right though. I sigh. I can't blame Charlene. She's only looking after me and my reputation. "By the way, congratulations on your awards." she adds, trying to lighten up the mood.
"Thanks." I simply say, but I'm grateful for her because if it weren't for her, I wouldn't have gotten any award.
"By the way, shooting for That Summer tomorrow at 6 am. Be on set early."
