I line up the others close behind me. I see the guards pushing people who in their eyes are 'Taking to long'. I cant help but be nervous, I always hate this part of the day. There, at the front of the line are workers. They call people up asking for their name before putting them into a group depends on their color. Their color is depending on their power. There are 5 colors.

Green is the first and most common one. If you are in this group you can tend to be able to do into animals, have an animal body part like wings or a tail, you can talk to animals, ect. The next group is red. If you are in red you have physical abilities. Like super speed, super strength. Things like that.  Then there is blue. These people mental abilities.  Enhanced intelligence, telekinesis, mind reading, mind control. Those kind of things. The next group is yellow. These are powers that dont really fit into the other groups like invisibility, healing abilities, things that dont fit in with the others. Then, there is white. White unlike the others is a group that doesn't have any powers. That happens to be the group I'm in.

"Next" the lady at the front of the line, who always seems to be angry and tired, grumbles. I step up.

She looks at me and then back at her clipboard "name" she asked obviously tired of doing the same thing everyday.

I gulp "Alexander, subject 209" I mumble nervously. She looks up at me after looking at her clipboard and looking through the papers.

"Finger" she says while grabbing a needle. I give her my hand and she pricks my finger making me flinch a little before dripping my blood onto a glass dish.

She puts some kind of mixture into the dish before putting a lid on it. We wait for a second as my blood changes color. It changes color to white and I gulp. "Still white I see, and at your age" she grumbles out before pointing over to a group. "Over there"

I walk over to where she pointed and see their are only about 10 other people there. Despite there being twelve yesterday day, the other two probably got put into a different group after their blood turned a different color other than white. I sigh waiting for the others to come over. Emma walks over holding Oliver's hand lucas behind them with a grim look on his face.

"Where is Harper?" I ask not seeing the small girl or her bright red hair anywhere. I look at them only to see Emma look down letting go of Oliver's hand as she walks over to me pulling me into a hug.

I was worried, what could have happene? Is she okay? Did she get hurt? "What-" I start to ask what's wrong but Lucas interrupts me before I can finish what I was saying.

"She got put into yellow. They tested her blood and it changed yellow, she is being moved to a different group today." He mumbles from in between clenched teeth before looking away with an angry look on his face.

"W-what, she-she was put into yellow.. that-that cant be right there must be a mistake-" I look down with a frown on my face not wanting it to be true. I am cut off by Emma pushing me away from her.

"Well it's not!" I can see tears in her eyes "She was put into yellow and we might not ever see her again! You know how hard it is to see people from other groups let alone talk to them!" She has her hands in such tight fits that he knuckles are turning white. I have no doubt that she will have indents from her fingers nails once she stops.

My eyes start to burn as I feel tears build up threatening to spill over the surface. My breath is uneven and shaking as I try to keep from crying, not just for my sake but for the others. I squeeze my eyes shut trying to will the tears to go away. My eyes start to sting from the  Unshed tears that are building up. Just then I feel arms wrap around my waist. I open my eyes to look down and see Oliver looking up at me. His usually cheerful face having a salum look on it.

"Don't cry bubba, it's okay" he hugs me tighter. I smile at him as he uses the nickname he gave me when he first got here.

Although we dont remember anything from before we came here now, during younger ages when you first arive here if you see something like a toy that reminds you of something you had before or if you smell something that you remember really well it may spark a memory. For oliver it was me and his brother. I have never met his brother but the reason we are so close is when he first got he saw me and ran over to me. He said I looked like his older brother, there for giving me the nickname 'bubba'.

I smile at me squatting down and pulling him into a hug. I look over at Lucas who was dragging Emma over as he joined the hug. We stay like this for about a minute, I wish it would have lasted longer but the sorting was finished and the guards came over and yanked us up  but not before kicking Emma in the back to get her to stop crying.

                        Time skip

The guards had hurried us into a room. The room had plain white walls like every other wall in this place and a plainer white door with only a small window at the top and a keypad to get in and out on both sides. This is less of a testing room and more of a waiting room. From here we go into separate rooms for the testing.

"Alright everyone you know the drill, line up by age" he grows at us as we hurry to line up.

As I go to line up near the front of the line Oliver grabs onto me. I look at him as he holds onto my shirt "Don't leave me bubba". He looks up at me

"I have to go to the other end of the line but I'm not leaving you don't worried just go line up" I start whispering to him fast as to not get into trouble but he doesn't let go.

I start to panic because he wont let go. I don't want to leave him but there isn't much I can do about this. I try to remove him from my shirt but he starts to tear up and he holds on tighter. I bite my lip as I try to convince him to lwt go of me in a hushed whisper. Much to my horror a guard starts to come over to us. Much to our luck before he could get to us one of the younger kids yanked Oliver off me and I hurried to the front in between Lucas and Emma. The guards eyes me as i hear Oliver crying as the kid tries to calm him. God I wish this day was over already...
