"In 143, the goblins took over France and then, 16 years later, the goblin king Ferdinand the Foul died of natural causes." Professor Binns continued to drone on even as mine and Jackson's 16th ball of parchment sailed through his head. I looked across the room at Sammi Cooper who was slowly falling asleep. I nudged Jackson and pointed at her. He snickered and aimed his wand at her from under the table. A gust of wind shot from the tip of it and shot her in the face. Her blonde hair flipped up and her eyes shot open. She turned around to find where the wind was coming from and her eyes fell on us. We tried our best to look innocent but failed miserably. She rolled her eyes and stuck out her tongue. Jackson and I went back to throwing balls of parchment until Binns finally dismissed us.

"Thank Salazar!" I cheered. Jackson agreed and grabbed my bag from me. "Oi, give that back!"

"No, I am your boyfriend and I shall be a proper one. I will carry your bag to Snape's class and risk being late and McGonogall transfiguring my arse off." He held his hand up to his chest in a rather crap attempt of being a noble knight. I sighed.

"Aw, I rather liked your arse!" He flushed red, a rare occasion for Jackson, and I heard someone cough behind me. I turned around to find the equally pink face of my best friend Miya.

"Have I interrupted something? I can leave if you'd like," I laughed and shook my head. We all turned and walked out the door of Binn's dreary room.

"Don't forget your 1000 word paper on house elf segregation is due on Monday," he droned. Sammi popped up between Jackson and me, her typical "Sammi smirk", as I called it, plastered across her face. Sammi didn't talk, which was ok with me, but it was difficult for her to make friends. She mostly hand around with Miya, since they were the only Hufflepuffs in our friend group.

"You have divination next right?" I asked. She nodded and made a face. "I know right." I laughed and she silently giggled. After spending as much time with her as we have, it gets easy to understand what she's trying to say just by her facial expressions and stuff.

"So are you guys planning to go to Hogsmeade on Saturday?" Miya asked.

"Of course!" Jackson replied. "We're going to visit Sarah's aunt." Sammi nodded enthusiastically.

"You can come too if you want," I looked over to Miya who shrugged her shoulders.

"If you don't mind," She stopped and motioned up the spiral staircase that led to Trelawny's classroom. "I'll see you guys later, K?" She waved and started walking up the stairs. Sammi motioned that she had to go too and followed Miya up the stairs. For a while it was just Jackson and I walking through the halls, until I saw my friend Josie up ahead. She was walking hand in hand with her boyfriend Todd.

"Josephine!" I called. She turned around, and grinned widely. I jogged to catch up with her, as we were both heading to potions.

"Ready for Snape?" I asked. She chuckled, her green eyes sparkling.

"At least we're not Griffindors," She said, louder than normal to get the attention of Harry, who was walking next to his girlfriend Amber. "I'd hate to be under Snape's wrath 24/7." They nodded solemnly and kept on walking. We arrived at the classroom and Jack handed me my bag.

"I'll see you later," He leant forward and swiftly kissed my cheek before running in the direction of McGonogall's classroom. I jumped when someone spoke close to my ear.

"Awww, he's cute," I whirled around and slammed whoever it was in the nose with my book. I regretted it immediately when I saw the familiar blonde head of my friend Draco. Whoops.

"Oh my God! I'm so sorry!" He pulled his hand away from his nose and wiped the small amount of blood on his pants. I crinkled my nose in disgust. "Malfoy, that's really gross." He smirked and held his hand out, trying to wipe it on my shirt. I shrieked and ran into the classroom.
