But Valentine seemed oblivious to Buzz's feelings. She was always friendly and kind to him, but she treated him the same way she treated the other toys. Buzz couldn't stand the thought of being just another friend to her. He wanted to be special in her eyes.
One day, Buzz worked up the courage to confess his feelings to Valentine. He took her aside and poured his heart out, telling her how much he admired her and how he had never felt this way about anyone before. To his surprise, Valentine smiled and took his hand.
