Taylor was dialed into her laptop screen, eyes soaking up all of the stimuli and information that she was putting in front of them. She was so focused on the content that she was ingesting that she didn’t even hear the door to the home unlock.
“Hey, beautiful!” Travis spoke, pushing open the door to the bedroom.
“Holy shit, you scared me!” Taylor gasped, slamming her laptop shut.
Travis’ eyes widened, he let out a chuckle, shaking his head. “What you got goin’ on there?” He asked, kicking his shoes off and approaching the bed.
“Nothin’.” She responded, pushing the laptop to the opposite side of the mattress.
Travis’ lips formed a precious smirk as he pushed himself onto the mattress, planting a hand on either side of Taylor’s bent knees. He started peppering kisses all down Taylor’s cheek and jaw, trying to get her to loosen up. He had no idea as to why she was being so closed off.
“What’re you being all secretive about?” He asked, lips moving against the skin of Taylor’s neck. “What, you got a new song on there?”
“No.” Taylor tried her best to hold back her laughs as the kisses made her blush.
Travis sat up and made a dramatic thinking face as he tried to conjure up what could be on that laptop screen. “Is it a poem?” He asked, planting a kiss on her neck. “Or titles for the next album?” Travis had now gotten Taylor comfortably on her back. He hovered slightly above her, but his presence atop of her never made Taylor fearful, which was new to her.
“No, Travis, it’s not anything!” Taylor whined, squirming under the kisses, trying to fight her way out of this conversation.
Travis lifted his head with a gasp, the perfect joke line locked and loaded to get her to laugh this whole thing off. “Ms. Swift, were you watching porn?”
Taylor’s eyes almost burst out of her head as she playfully slapped Travis’ chest. “Oh my God, no!” She shook her head and let it flop back down against the pillow. “It’s nothin’, darling, like I said.”
Her hands gently ran over his arms, taking their time to appreciate the contour of every individual muscle. Her eyes looked up into his, silently begging him to drop the topic and just spend the night with her in peace. They hadn’t been seeing much of each other lately as Taylor was ramping up rehearsals for her upcoming Eras tour, and Travis had been working hard in his off season training.
Travis pushed his full weight off from above Taylor and reached behind him to grab the laptop. Upon seeing his hand against the metal, Taylor pushed herself up to sit against the headboard – this couldn’t end well. “Trav, stop.” She warned.
“Tay,” He laughed, “If it’s nothing, why is it such a big deal if I see it?” He opened the lid of the laptop and, after signing in, was quickly greeted with the page that Taylor was trying desperately to hide from him.
Travis’ eyes scanned the words on the screen, taking in each next sentence as he scrolled down. It didn’t quite connect to him what he was looking at, he’d never seen anything like this before. Taylor was sat against the headboard, teeth gnawing on her bottom lip as she watched Travis study her laptop screen. She could only imagine the argument that they were about to get into.
It wasn’t until clicking through the next couple pages that Travis really grasped what he was looking at. A blog, a forum of sorts, filled with message boards, photos of dangerously thin girls onstage, diet advice, and quotes that probably came from the mouth of Yolanda Hadid at one point.
