anthony stark had many affairs in his younger days, but he never expected anything to come out of them, much less a child.
but, after a drunk night, a scientist he had been working named genesis ramirez, with fell pregnant, with his child. the pregnancy went well, until disaster struck at birth and tony is left alone to raise his daughter, anna.
everything goes well with the father and daughter, until one day. anna was getting mad, as most toddlers do, and the lights in the room flickered before going out completely. after doing some digging, tony found out that genesis was from another planet, and possessed unnatural powers which had been passed down to anna. tony was baffled, and didn't know how to help.
turns out he didn't need to. genesis left anna with a necklace before she died, and in that necklace lived a shadow, a living, breathing shadow that had sworn to genesis that he would help anna in any way possible. his name was vengeance. now don't let the name deceive you, the shadow is very playful and mischievous, as the father and daughter will come to learn, but he means well. he helps anna learn to control her powers and use them effectively. the girl and the shadow bond, and eventually become best friends.
life is great for both anna and tony.
but, when anna is eight, her father is kidnapped. the girl and her father's assistant, pepper potts, are left alone. and things aren't as they seem.
