It's been two days since Kyojuro and Tengen departed from their homes, the flame hashira was on his way home already. The village seemed fine, no outwardly surprising news or reports from higher level slayers stationed there. He bought a couple boxes of food to take back and eat on the walk, might aswell since there were some good quality restaurants in the area.
He paused, opening a box and munching on the contents inside then continuing on the path. He managed to arrive just outside his home withen a few hours, taking in a deep breath. He was home.
--
Tengen was in deep thought, it's been three days since he left his estate. Left Kyojuro. And he had four more days to go. He groaned, Tomioka looking at him from ahead but not speaking. Tengen muttered and placed his arms behind his head, it was.. kind of a resting position.
The sound hashira missed his best friend, he wanted to give him a big hug. Maybe more.. he dropped his arms, rubbing his face with his hands in annoyance and once again let out a dramatic sigh.
Tomioka glanced at him, "what are you being so dramatic about."
"I miss Kyooooo!" Tengen complained, looking around at the vacant village, "we've been circling this village for hours! I don't sense anything wrong."
"Kyo?" Tomioka paused, then nodding in understanding, "Ah, Rengoku. You've been mumbling about him for the past hour."
"I HAVE?!"
Tomioka nodded, "I've heard some.. things. I'd like to forget them, if that's even possible."
"OH. MY BAD-" Tengen flushed from embarrassment, he didn't know why he'd been thinking about the flame user so much lately, but everytime he did he felt his heart beat faster and this long lost feeling of longing make its way to the surface.
He stopped dead, realising what was happening. He was falling in love with his best friend.
-
Two days until Tengen returns and Kyojuro had been looking forwards to seeing him again. Though everytime had thought about him his chest felt so.. jittery? That's not the right word. It's like the joy he felt over getting his favorite meal.
He wasn't in love, there was no way! But thinking of the man made his heart flutter and he literally kicked his feet once and did a little dance. That was hard to explain to himself after it happened. Or Senjuro for that matter who had found him rolling on the floor giggling to himself.
Okay, Kyojuro wasn't okay. He was in love. Hell, he was down bad.
He paused that thought, having to rethink what he just thought to a more.. sane thinking process.
..
Let's try again. Kyojuro was fucking losing it. He missed Tengen; he wanted to hug him, to train with him, to be alone with him.. to get pinned down by him... to not be able to walk- OH MY GOD
Kyojuro groaned, he wasn't thinking straight! At all, Actually! In more ways than one.He sat on his floor, staring at the wall ahead of him, tracing the details with his eyes. This action soon became mesmerising, soon pulling him into a deep sleep.
