Were Stuck

It was 1974 when three girls inside a classroom heard the door close. Just then not even a second later they heard the door lock as three girls named Alyssa, Kora, and Carissa just finished packing up their bags. Right that second they all knew that they were going to die. Kora rushed to the door to check if it was locked. 

        As soon as she reached the door she dropped to her knees and started crying because they were trapped in their own classroom.

They tried everything to get out of the classroom.

They tried opening the window, and they also tried to unlock the door, but unfortunately nothing seemed to work at all.

They started to give up until they heard something outside so they ran to the door to check if anyone was there and surprisingly the janitor was still there. They quickly rushed to find something to get their attention but nothing worked.

A few hours later they checked if there were any more snacks or any kind of supplies that they could use to survive for a whole 5 more days. They found one granola bar. All of them knew what they had to do so they split up the granola bar into 3. the granola bar because it was the only option and the only thing they had to eat left. Then Kora remembered when Mrs. Smith gave her a snack because she didn't have a snack she remembered the box that had all of the other snacks in them. She tried to remember where the box was.

Finally after a few minutes of thinking she remembered it was in the same closet that the other snacks were in, she sprinted to the closet and searched for the box and she found it. She quickly opened it and found the snacks. She called Carissa and Alyssa to tell them that she found a box full of snacks and drinks that they could eat.

Once Carissa and Alyssa came they both froze like frozen popsicles that just came out of the freezer. It was like they were frozen by ice. But it wasn't that cold in the classroom. She went to check the temperature in the air and it was only 71° so she was wondering if it was because it was too cold or if it was just because they were surprised by all of the snacks that Kora found.

"Carissa!" Kora shouted.

"Do you want the aircon off or on?" she questioned.

"Yes please." Cariss replied.

"Alyssaaa!" Carissa shouted.

"Alyssaaa!" Carissa shouted again.

"Hmm, Alyssaaa!" She shouted once more.

"CARISSA STOP SHOUTING HER NAME FOR ONCE!!!!!" Kora shouted angrily.

"FINE I'LL STOP!!! Carissa shouted louder.

"Thank you." Kora said calmly.

"Your welcome I guess." Carissa said in an angry way."

"Anyways we should probably do some of our homework that Mr. Alvarez assigned to us." Kora told Carissa and Alyssa.

No one responded...

"I said we should do our homework that's as assigned." Kora said quietly.

She then went to check if they were ok.

And they were sleeping so Kora tried waking them up when the teacher walked in the classroom because she forgot her Water bottle in the closet. Kora was so relieved that Mrs.- Smith came to the classroom. They tried waking Carissa and Alyssa up. Carissa woke up but Alyssa didn't. Carissa started freaking out because Alyssa was her younger sister. They called 911 and the police officer answered.

"911 what is your emergency." The officer asked.

"YES....YES...HELLO.....MY LITTLE SISTER IS NOT WAKING UP!" Carissa cried.

"Yes...... .We will send a paramedic right away, miss!"

"THANK YOU OFFICER!"

Soon after the paramedics arrived and they quickly but carefully picked up Alyssa and rushed her to the emergency room.

When they got there Carissa went into the emergency room and waited for them to say something like if Alyssa was going to survive.

The doctor told her...

"Unfortunately there is only a 20% chance she will survive." The doctor told her.

"NO.....NO....THERE HAS TO BE SOME KIND OF CURE THEN....RIGHT!!!" Carissa asked the doctor.

"There is no cure for the condition she is in right now." The doctor replied.

Carissa sat down right next to Alyssa and said...

"It's ok you will be alright as long as you are with me...you got that?" Carissa cried

A day later the doctor came back in and told Carissa that they have to check if she was still breathing. They did and Alyssa was not breathing. The doctor tried everything but nothing seemed to make her start breathing.

They checked and Alyssa was not breathing. The doctor told Carissa that she went through Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA = the sudden loss of all heart activity due to an irregular heart rhythm. Breathing stops.)

They tried giving her CPR but it didn't seem to work.

Then doctor told Carissa that there was nothing else they could do to help Alyssa.

2 days later it was Alyssa's funeral and everyone was sobbing thinking why did she have to die so young.

After that day everyone still remembered that tragic day.

About 2 days later Carissa set up a little table with things that Alyssa really liked.

She put chocolate bars, lollipops, bread, a toy cheeseburger, Art Supplies, and some other things that reminded her of Alyssa. Carissa knew that what she was doing might have been the nicest thing she had ever done for her.
