Rae Morningstar has two amazing boyfriends.
After realising he had grown a crush on the once mysterious Lost One, he thought that would be it. He called the man he knew as Caspian his boyfriend, and he was happy. He didn't think he would want or need anything more. Then he met Aax, a creature so isolated from the world that he didn't have anyone to fall onto. He gained a crush on them within weeks and, fortunately for him, Caspian too. Then, just like that, he had two boyfriends who he loved more than the stars themselves.
He thought that would be the end. He thought he had enough.
Then came Wolf.
Centross' boyfriend and one of Rae's best friends. The three men got on like a house on fire and the blackette couldn't ask for more. Two loving boyfriends and two amazing best friends.
Then... he fell in love with Wolf.
He wasn't sure when it had happened but only that it had and soon after followed the panic that would ensue. He could talk to his boyfriends about it because what if they saw it as him being greedy? He couldn't go to Centross because it was about his boyfriend. He most certainly could not go to Wolf. He couldn't go to Icarus because what if they judged him?
The way that he had so easily called him 'love' when the man had fallen asleep in his lab. The way he could easily stare into the man's eyes, even through the mask. The way he bit his lip every time he got the chance to admire their face. The way his body felt whenever they hugged him.
Rae didn't know how to feel... so, instead, he buried himself in the bathroom next to where his partners slept and cried. It turned into a routine that he grew to quickly hate.
He hated how he was betraying the two men he had sworn himself to. He hated how he was betraying his best friend by crushing on his boyfriend. He hated how he was betraying his best friend by crushing on him.
A hand carefully gripped his, the blackette's eyes snapping up to see the shadowed form of one of his boyfriends. Tears streaked down his face. He hadn't even realised he was crying, nor the fact he was sitting up in bed. An inaudible voice spoke quietly, trying to guide him back to them. He couldn't tell who it was– the touch too familiar but he couldn't place it. A hand placed itself on his back, rubbing up and down in a motion that seemed to come easily to the person as Rae's breathing slowly started to calm down.
