seven minutes

the tension in the air of the basement was thick with anticipation, a boy with a mildly grown out buzz cut swirling his hand in a cap like a magician, though instead of a rabbit being pulled out its two small strips of paper. stained on the papers are two names, lucky or unlucky. two names of potential lovers, chosen by fate to be thrown in a small closet for 7 minutes. awkwardly long or achingly short, all depending on who you're confided with.

in your case, horrifically drawn out.
or so you assumed as he called out your name, and the name of the most arrogant, rude, callous, and sadistic person you've ever come across. the man you loathe so openly and whole heartedly.

Eren.
fucking.
Jeager.

honestly, loathe wasn't the right word. though you did hate him, you just didn't care for him. completely disregarding his entire existence even if he was standing right in front of you.
so unconcerned that if he were crawling around in the desert, terribly parched and at the verge of dehydration, and you had an glass of ice cold water in your hand.
you would dump it all, and watch as he desperately ran his tongue along the sand for even just a drop of water.

all of the girls you had to nurse back to happiness because of him. he'll never know how draining and miserable that is for you. at least half the girls you knew had cried over him once, and you'd be damned if you were to become one of them.
that's why he picks on you.

why he bumps into you purposefully, a apology leaving his curled lips as you wince in pain due to his dense, muscular build nearly throwing your delicate frame a foot away. though he was never really sorry. not even a little. not at all.
because he got a kick out of it. a dose of serotonin and euphoria would wash over him when your plump bottom lip quivered, and a knot between your brows formed as he spewed harsh words your way. and he loved when you fought back, you always would. throw out insults or just down right ignore his presence.
you were untouched and untouchable to him.
he loved it. he fucking loved it. all of it.

all of this because you were the only woman, who never fell to your knees for him. never kissed his ass or the floor he walked on like he was some heavenly being. and never begged for his sought after attention. in fact you did the complete opposite, ignoring his entire existence when he wasn't tormenting you. and when he was you would tell him to fuck off and die.
any girl would kill for the amount of regard he gave you. any attention, was good attention when it came to eren jeager.

you thought it was the reason he hated you so badly as to oppress you, but it was the reason he was so infatuated by you as to never leave you alone.

your back stiffens as your name is repeated in your ear by the brunette girl sat next to you on the couch, "connie called your name." she says, confirming that what you heard wasn't just a sick trick of the mind.

"no way in hell." you state sternly.

all eyes are on you, you hate it. eyes of those disappointed, and those who are envious, they would thank the heavens above if their names were picked instead of yours. you would switch with them in a heartbeat.

yes. jeager was beautiful, though you'd never admit it aloud. you didn't need too, anyone who had eyes could see how captivating he was. six foot two and broad shouldered, he goes to the gym five times a week, so his body is sculpted to perfection, abs so defined they could cut through butter like a knife, his biceps so strong he could throw you around like a ball, and he never skipped leg day. but somehow he didn't look bulky.

and his face, just as perfect. just as...alluring. like a vampire he'll lure you in with his pretty face and mesmerizing forest green eyes, then suck you dry of everything that makes you, of your happiness. his jaw, so sharp, so defined and his lip so full. never chapped, always having cherry flavored chapstick to hydrate. but his eyes. fuck, his eyes were far too pretty, far too sweet and green and his lashes were so long that girls would be jealous.
but it's all a trick.
he takes don't judge a book by its cover to a whole other level. such a pretty cover but the contents that lie within are heinous.
