A lonely girl, in a lonely world,
Fighting feelings, worse at night.
Looking out up to the moon,
The future did not look bright.
The sun was up, a long time ago.
There were questions, interrogations and tears.
My heart almost stopped, a section two,
Forced to face what I feared.
Cleanliness and bright white rooms,
Blue scrubs and a nurses station.
A single bed and a magnetic door,
A games room with other patients.
But the girls in the room shone like stars in the sky,
Made the fog in my head more clear.
Through the cloud and rain, I saw the sun,
The end became not so near.
The girls carried weight that they should not know,
Seen more pain that many have felt.
Their eyes so bright and hearts so warm
Now trapped in ice that wont melt.
"I'm Tilly, nice to meet you."
"Hi, I'm Morgan, nice to meet you too."
The girls met under bad circumstances
But a happiness shone through.
In the tv lounge we cried,
In the games room we talked.
In the corridors we laughed,
and in the gardens we walked.
We didn't have to hide our pain,
We spoke about the things we shared.
Not sure if we would make it out,
But I always knew she'd care.
Surrounded by so much uncertainty,
Friends made up for missing home.
I didn't know much for sure,
But I knew I wouldn't face it alone.
"Are you sure your okay Morgan?"
"Yeah, I'll be okay, will you?"
"Yeah, I pinky promise?"
"I pinky promise too."
