everybody dies

They were sat around the living room of their house. Tommy was sat next to Techno on a couch looking worried. Wilbur was sat on the other couch with Quackity asleep against his chest after eventually passing out from crying so much. In the doorway Phil and Kristen were stood worriedly talking. 

But then Quackity quickly woke up as his phone went off. He grabbed it from his pocket.

"This is gonna be a long time explaining." Said Quackity.

He kissed Wilbur on the cheek before getting up and walking out of the room, accepting the call. He went and sat on the stairs.

"The police just came to your house, didn't they?" Said Quackity.

"He can't be dead." Said Sapnap. "He- he can't be."

"I saw his body myself." Said Quackity. "So did Wilbur."

"No one would want to kill him." Said Sapnap.

"I know." Said Quackity. "Techno and Wilbur said to Tommy that it was just a robbery went wrong."

"I don't believe that." Said Sapnap.

"Me neither." Said Quackity. "I don't buy it for a second. Someone just happens to break in on the one day he was home alone? No chance. It was someone who knew."

"Well, that could easily be his neighbours or anyone in the school." Said Sapnap.

"You seriously think that this was someone our age, do you?" Said Quackity.

"It- it must've been." Said Sapnap.

But then the doorbell went.

"I've got to go, that'll be the police at the door." Said Quackity. "Bye."

"Bye." Said Sapnap.

Quickly Quackity hung up and then went back to Wilbur, sitting next to him and resting his head on his shoulder. Then the police officers were lead in by Phil and Kristen. There were two of them. They stood in the living room in front of the kids. It was one of the officers from earlier along with the chief inspector.

"Listen, kids." Said the inspector. "I understand that this is a hard time for you, but we need to know the last time you saw your friend alive."

"Not seen him since yesterday." Said Tommy.

"Same for me." Said Techno.

Wilbur nodded too.

"I went to check on him this morning." Said Quackity. "He felt ill but his parents are away so I went to check on him."

"Do you know why his parents are away?" Said the inspector.

"His dad has a meeting up in the city but it's also their anniversary so they're spending a couple nights away." Said Quackity.

"Do you know where?" Asked the officer who was writing down details.

"No." Said Quackity.

"What happened when you went to check on him?" Said the inpsector.

"I gave him some pills which I'd picked up for him and then made sure he had breakfast." Said Quackity.

"Prone to skipping meals I take it?" Said the inspector.

Quackity nodded and sighed.

"He kept swearing that he was getting better but we knew he was lying so I made sure that he ate while I was there." Said Quackity.

"Okay. Well, that all seems in order." Said the inspector. "Now, can any of you think of anyone who would want to kill your friend?"

They all shook their heads.

"No one would want to do this." Said Quackity. "It's evil."

"Right." Said the inspector. "Well, we'll be going then if there's nothing more you can tell us."

No one said anything so they left. The four just looked at each other.

"There was nothing else we needed to say... right?" Said Quackity nervously. "Like did we forget anything?"

"Calm down, if we did it was from shock and they would understand that." Said Wilbur. "But I'm sure that none of us did."

"It's awful to think that the person who did this to him is just running around out there." Said Quackity.

"What if they kill someone else?" Said Tommy.

"Don't be silly." Said Techno. "That won't actually happen."

"But what if it did?" Said Quackity. "It's more than possible. Like look at what they did. That wasn't just a plain killing, that was brutal."

"I hate to say it, but you've got a point." Said Wilbur. "But if we stick together then I'm sure we'll be fine. And there'll be more police around so maybe it'll frighten them off."

"That's just a maybe I-" Started Quackity.

But then he went quiet as Phil and Kristen walked in.

"We know you're all scared, but talking about it will just frighten you further." Said Kristen.

"And just be sensible at the moment too." Said Phil. "It is dangerous so be careful."
