"Leafy?" I heard as i began to wake up. Firey nudged my shoulder. "Leafy? You up?"

I looked at him, still tired. "Yeah. What happened?" I asked. He grabbed my hand and helped me sit up, i didn't need it, but at least he was being nice.

"I heard you screaming last night; i thought it was dream i was having, or you were having a nightmare, but then i didn't see you. What happened?" He looked at me, a look of pity and concern. I didn't say anything for a minute.

"Must have been sleepwalking or something. Guess i just was asleep." I lied. He gave me a look. "Are you sure?"

I nodded. "We should pack." He watched me as i stood up and picked up my sleeping bag that i was just laying on. "But, your leg?" He still looked concerned. "I'll be fine, it wasnt that bad." He looked away from me for a minute before just nodding. "Okay."

5 hours later, were walking through the woods. The branches of the trees make it darker dispite the sun being directly above us. I stood near firey, whatever happened last night is not happening again.

"Wait." He let go of my hand i had just realized I had been squeezing for comfort. "I could have sworn we walked by that tree."

"Firey are we lost!?" I flipped to face him in panic. "Maybe..." he looked around. "Yeah. Were lost."

"Crap." I muttered. "Okay, so, which direction should we head off to?"

Firey thought for a moment, "we should head south, we would end up in the plains, and maybe from there take a boat back to yoyleland."

I nodded, "Alright, so we have a plan!" I looked around "...which way is south?"

Firey sighed, "well the sun rises in the east and sets in the west but uh..." he looked up at the ceiling of green above us. "I cant really tell which way its going."

The forest seemed to grow darker suddenly, and i looked up too. A cloud had moved in front of the sun, and it didnt seem to be just one or two of them.

Just then, a patter sound began on the leaves. I hurriedly opened my bag, grabbing an umbrella and handing it to firey who snatched it almost as fast as i had handed it to him.

He opened the umbrella and rested it on his shoulder, "any ideas?"

I put my backpack back on as i thought, why didnt we think of getting a compass?

"Lets just go straight and see where it leads us." I suggested. Firey shrugged, "better than nothing."

And so, we went on.
