Time progresses as you remain asleep. More than several hours pass before you arise, and you hazily swing your head around, trying to regain your vision. Once you effectively dismissed the blur of sleep, you took in the scenery of a small enclosed space that smelled of rotted wood and pine. The walls around you were dark and accompanied by vines and protruding plants that grew through unnoticeable crevices in the structure. There seemed to be a large gaping hole in which you assumed the door should've been, but it was instead blocked off by a bunch of boards that seemed to have been desperately nailed into the sides. You yourself were laid upon a makeshift bed of numerous odd colored sheets and soft material carefully stacked upon each other.

Beside the "bed", the brown haired man that had claimed to be your Uncle was seated on the ground, a rather hefty book clasped in his hand. He'd been reading aloud; you recalled a distorted voice echoing your head as you'd regained awareness, and your gaze slowly trails to the title. "Hey Unc. What story is that?" You ask in a faint sound, poking a finger into your eye to erase some of the drowsiness.

Your sudden question alerted Liu that you were now awake, restlessly fiddling around and looking at him with curiosity. He moved closer to where you were and grinned while displaying the book he was reading before you, "This is the Geneva Bible."

You sat back with a sigh, "Nevermind..."

Liu crooked his head, "What? Only four and you're already turning up your nose to religion? Not very becoming for someone that's already been exposed to so much evil..."

You ignored Liu, mostly because you didn't really understand what he was starting to get at. That, and you weren't interested.

"Fine [Y/N]," Liu sighed, placing the book down and once again getting your attention, "are you hungry?"

You rush to get off of the sheets and find your footing on the creaky boards that made up the floor. "Not really. Where's Jeff, how come he's not here? And where are we? Is this home?"

Liu chuckled at your concern for his brother. "He should be home soon. In the meantime, let's get you something to eat so maybe by the time you're finished, he'll be back?"

Although you didn't find yourself very hungry—your mind was more fixed on Jeff—you didn't argue as "Uncle Liu" got up and shuffled through a large duffle bag placed beside the sheets and carefully pulled out a few containers of stored food. The food wasn't exactly optimal in quality, but you found yourself satisfied anyways, as you'd enjoyed the serving regardless. Liu only watched you eat while occasionally shooting unreadable glances towards the boarded up opening of the room.

Once you were finished eating, you returned to eagerly waiting for Jeff, kicking your legs as you watched the boards, perhaps expecting Jeff to burst effortlessly thoroughly the barrier at any moment. Interrupting your concentration, Liu attempted to draw you into conversation. "I'm curious as to how you found Jeff, [Y/N]. Can you tell Uncle Liu what happened, and how you ended up with him?"

You shrugged your shoulders, not very much in the mood for talking. Liu's question you understood, yet somehow it sounded off putting—enough to make you shy away from speaking. You only cared about the pasty bloke who still hadn't bothered to show face yet. Did Jane do something to him....?
