Its the year 2024. Summer was just around the corner, bringing the tropical heat to this urban jungle. With blue skies and the morning sun rising on the horizon, it bathed the city in a magical glow. Numerous bridges span out across different Islands, though the downtown traffic was notorious for being a challenge. Miami, a city situated along the Florida coast was the home of many but mainly the home for most sea mammals, being located along the coast of Florida.

"Good morning Florida! I hope y'all are enjoying the sunny blue skies of Miami today. Let's kick off your day with a dose of nostalgia from Rick James's "Ghetto Life" to get ya goin! This is, Throwback 105.5." The renowned voice of the radio host rang out as the tune fills the airwave. The rays of sunlight filters between the shades of the tall windows of a luxury apartment, casting a warm glow. The song faintly echoed in the kitchen as the beeping sounds of the coffee machine catches the shark's attention. Making her way to the kitchen, Ero grabs the pot and pours herself a cup of coffee before putting the pot back into the machine. The strong aroma of coffee beans was enough to wake her up, blowing on the cup before sipping her coffee. She grooves to the music on her way to the living room, where tall, modern windows framed a breathtaking view of the sandy beaches and clear waters below. Ero slid open the glass door, the scent of the ocean waters were familiar to her, her apartment located just across a beach. "Damn, what a view.." She uttered as she takes another sip of her coffee before returning back into her bedroom. Setting the coffee down on a end table near her bed.
Ero opens up her blinds, inviting the warm sun to cascade into her room, painting the room in a soothing, warm color. She gazes dreamingly out the window, just embracing and basking in the sunlight before abruptly snapping back to reality. In her tank top and black undies, she opens up her wardrobe full of clothes and a unusual amount of pillows. She glances back at her bed to check on her pillows, seeing as the edge of her pillows have been ripped. "Crap, not again." She mutters as she pokes her razor sharp teeth to inspect. 'I'll change it later' she said in her head as she grabs a white collared shirt and puts it on, then a pair of dark long slacks. Sitting on the bed side to put them on, she grabs her belt from the hanger behind the room door and clips it onto her waist. Getting up, she pulls out her brown jacket and throws it on before noticing the clock on the wall reading 7:13 AM. In a flurry of panic, she bolts out the room, leaving the room in a mess as she swipes her car keys from the kitchen counter. "Shit, Enrique is gonna kill me!" Racing out the door and slamming it shut, She abandons her freshly brewed coffee back on the end table.
The iconic red, white and blue American flag sways gently in the morning wind. Raised up high among other flags as flagpoles lined the exterior of a large concrete building. One of the flags held up the state flag of Miami. A large plaque decorates the side of the building just above the high, angled windows, donning the words 'Miami Police Department' in a blue tint. Police cruisers were parked strategically parked around the building while various other cars navigate their way into the parking bay. Among them, a glistening white Corvette, captures the sunlight's glare as it cruises past the guard house, stopping in front of the gate. The barrier raises, allowing the Corvette to enter to find its place in a designated parking spot. Ero swings open the door in a hurry and hops out, with a small travel suit bag in her hand. rushing through the doors as she almost knocks over a officer. She stops at the lobby of the building to catch her breath and to adjust her jacket. the lobby was huge, it had shiny marble floors and a small walkway that spans from one end of the building to another. A elevator shaft sits in the middle of this walkway facing the entrance and lobby.
"Excuse me ma'am, can I help you?" A chicken speaks out, sitting behind the desk in a police uniform adjacent to the entrance doors. "What? no, I work here". Ero stated as she moves her jacket to flash her badge as she finally catches her breath, wiping a sweat off her forehead. "Oh you! I know you. you must be that new detective, hello. By the way, great job on the bust yesterday". The chicken said with a smug across his face. simply teasing the shark as she turns to look at him with a annoyed look. 'Haha thank you cocky asshole' Putting on a fake smile as she says it under her breath, she responds "Yeah haha thanks. by the way have you seen-"
she was suddenly interrupted by her name being yelled from the crosswalk above. both the chicken and shark look up to see what the commotion was about. Returning their gaze was a cat looking down at them. This cat looked much older then anyone in the station, wearing a coffee stained white shirt with suspenders "Ero! Ero where the hell were you!?". The cat frustratingly spoke. A gold trinket decorated his collar. Upon further inspection, it bears the rank of a police captain. "Sorry cap! I was stuck in traffic!"
"you're late! Disappointing! Here I was waiting for you and you decided to stroll on by, taking your precious little time. I want you in my office right now Ero, this instant!!"
Before Ero could give her reasons for being late, The police captain storms off in anger, almost knocking into another officer. "Get out of my face!!" The cat yelled angrily with a hiss before pushing the officer aside, proceeding towards his office. "Damn. Well enjoy yourself, Ero". Mutterd the chicken. Ero, unprepared for what lays ahead, takes a deep breathe before striding off in annoyance.
