-

the night was draped in a hushed stillness when an unexpected ring of the doorbell resonated through your apartment.

you cautiously opened the door to find a slightly disheveled and visibly intoxicated chan standing on your doorstep.

"hey," he slurred, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. "mind if i crash here for the night?"

"mhm," concern etched your features, "come in," you reply.

chan sits by the doorway, removing his shoes — tucking his socks in them respectively. you help him get up as he stumbled into your apartment, the scent of alcohol clung to him as he made his way to the living room.

as chan settled on your couch, his drunken laughter echoed in the quiet room. he suddenly burst into a tipsy rendition of some song he created on the spot. his voice, usually smooth and controlled, now wavered with each note as he stumbled through the lyrics, creating a comical yet endearing scene. you couldn't help but chuckle at his antics. "c'mon," you take his arm around your shoulders — leading him to the bedroom.

you help him onto the bed, as he flops down with a content sigh. chan gazes up at you, his expression softening. "you're a lifesaver. i love you, you know that?" you simply smile, pulling the blanket over him but he refuses, "hey. i love you, y/n,"

"get some rest," you say, leaning down, kissing his forehead, turning around to exit the room but stopping as chan grasped your wrist.

"y/n. . .i said i love you," chan pulls you in, making you lay beside him. he begins brushing his lips on your face as he shifts to get on top of you. "love me," kiss, "love me now!" he goes south — placing open-mouth kisses on your neck.

"oof..." you sigh, "chan...stop it" you mumble "gosh...you're so annoyingly adorable,"

"im annoying, i know," kiss, "shut me up," kiss "kiss me,"

"you're a mess,"

"i know," he chuckles.

"chan..." he doesn't let you speak, his lips meeting yours into a messy kiss.

"y/n...mhm~"

"chan?"

"hmm..." he moans, grinding himself onto you. you gasp, eyes widening as you push him off, not wanting to do anything that you'll regret the next morning.

ignoring the muffled whine from chan, you get up form the bed, leaning down to tuck him under the duvet as finally — his whines die down and he falls asleep.

_

chan awoke a little later, his head throbbing slightly. rubbing his temples, he glanced beside him, only to find the bed empty. a curious frown etched on his face, he pushed himself up — with a cautious glance around the room, swung his legs over the edge of the bed.

the living room greeted him with a soft glow from the lamp, and there you were, engrossed in your studies on the laptop. the gentle tapping of keys filled the air as chan approached quietly.

he hugged you from behind, kissing your cheek, surprising you, "stop being so smart," he says, peering at the screen on your lap, admiring you for studying at this hour.

you chuckled at chan's playful interruption. "well someone has to keep up with you," you teased, your fingers finding their way to his intertwined hands.

"y/n,"

"hm?"

"i love you,"

you simply turn your head to place a kiss on his cheek and offer a small smile which chan mirrors. chan understands how much importance those three words hold for you. he wont hear them now. not now. but soon. someday. he's sure of it.
