At the warehouse, the shipment is delivered safely so I checked all the weapons & left towards my office to wrap up the meetings for the day.

In the office, it was 2:00 pm in the afternoon now and I just completed the last meeting.

I am checking the presentation for the next meeting. My phone buzzed with a call and it was from mumma. I picked up the call

"Hello Mumma. Aapne aur Papa ne lunch kar liya?"
(Hello Mumma. Did u and papa had ur lunch?)
Mumma replied me back
"Ha beta humne kha liya par sun meri baat ab. Beta tu apna schedule clear mat karna hum nhi jaa rhe ladki dekhne."
(Yes my child we had our lunch but now first listen to me. Don't clear your schedule we r not going to see the girl.)

For the moment I was numb. Bcz mumma suddenly said no to the marriage thing. She never changes her decision.
Huhh finally, I don't have to do some drama and tell lies.

I asked mumma about it
"Why mumma? kyunki kal tak to aap mujhe mandap mein bithane ka pura plan kar chuki thi aaj achanak mana kyu kar rhi hai aap? "
(Why mumma? Bcz until yesterday u were adamant to get me married then suddenly what happened?)

She replied
"Beta go and check the news online. The girl we selected was just playing innocent. She and her dad are being arrested for their disgusting crimes."

After ending up the call, I went online and read the recent news article which said

'Chairman of Axon group of companies Mr. Raj Anusen and his daughter got arrested.'

Why r they arrested? What crime did they commit?

I scrolled down and read

'Mr. Raj Anusen was arrested for having 600 crore of black money and 50 crores of fake INR.'
'His daughter was arrested for her involvement in dealing of drugs and was exposed on social media for having 4 affairs at same time.'

Fuck. That was something shocking. I didn't knew mumma and papa did business with them. I need to take a profile check from Jaydeep before making a business deal. But who exposed them?

'The proofs and evidences of these crimes were delivered to CBI office anonymously.For more updates follow NBC news.'

I called Kush and Tirth

"Did u both read the news?"

"Yes"
Both of them responded.

"But why r u so much affected by it?" Tirth asked me.

"Mumma was going to fix my marriage with Mr. Anusen's daughter."

"WTH?"
Both of them shouted together.

"Yes. That's why from now on to avoid these mistakes I'm gonna let Jaydeep go through the profile of every business partner we deal with."

"That's a good idea."
Kush replied.

"For now u r safe and let's try finding your beauty quick now before aunty gets u married to someone else and u become devdas."

Tirth teased.
I rolled my eyes and just ignored him.

"Ok guys then I'll go now I have to deal with paperwork for meeting which got postponed that day with Mrs. Kaushik from
S.K. Group of Companies bcz she was not well and couldn't attend the meeting."
I informed them.

They hung up the call and I started checking the paperwork and signing them.
