??? POV

???: Morning brats! Time to wake up!

I slowly stir. The right side of my face still hurts after receiving my punishment for planning the escape. We need to get out of here. It's not right for this to happen.

???: Erza...Erza, wake up!

Erza: I'm awake Jellal.

Jellal: I'm surprised you got any sleep after all the screaming.

Erza: It's all my fault. I should be in his place.

Jellal: I'm sorry. I tried to stop him but you know how he is. A boy with no magic and yet he was able to convince the rest of us to rescue you. I feel so dumb now.

Erza: Are you saying you didn't want to rescue me?

Jellal: No I did but I don't like how HE was able to get people to follow him. Why him? He's the weakest of us all.

Erza: And yet it was him who got everyone to come and rescue me.

Jellal growls. He and Y/N have been at odds for a very long time apparently. As long as I have known them. Y/N was usually quiet but when he spoke everyone seemed to want to listen. Jellal was the loudest person in the room but no one seemed to want to pay attention.

Erza: I need to convince them to let me switch back. I should be the one there. Not him.

Jellal: That's absurd. He is there because he wanted to save you. He sacrificed himself so you could be here. Don't let his efforts be in vain.

Before we could continue our conversation we saw one of the guards come running past us and the rest of the children slaves carrying a book.

Guard #1: I found it! I found it! You won't believe where I did!

Guard #2: It's real? The Book of Vishanti is real?

Torturer: Where did you find it?

Guard #1: Buried near her grave on Tenrou Island.

Guard #2: Never would have guessed that. What would she have wished for? What did she need? It obviously didn't save her. She's dead.

Guard #1: None of that matters. We should use it now to complete this stupid tower and bring him back.

Torturer: No. It may grant wishes but we have to be careful for what we wish. It vanishes and goes to a new hiding spot who knows where afterwards. We finish the tower and then make the wish.

Guard #1: The boy still alive? You had him screaming pretty loud last night.

Torturer: It helps me relieve stress. Good thing healing magic exists to prolong his suffering. He has no one to blame but himself. Saving the girl. Must think he's some type of hero.

Guard #2: More like an idiot. I don't think the red head girl wants him anyway. I think she prefers the boy with blue hair.

Guard #1: Yeah those two look better together.

Torturer: Shut up both of you! You sound like two young girls gossiping. Go back to your posts.

I've listened to the whole conversation and my face started to heat up. Me ending up with Jellal or Y/N made me feel warm inside. Jellal then pulls me aside.

Jellal: We need to get that book. It will give us what we need to escape here!

Erza: No one will follow you. What is with you? You've been scheming more than usual. Did that lady in black put some spell on you?

Jellal: She didn't. You would follow me though wouldn't you? Help me get the book so I can make the wish.

I had to think this through. I've already failed and it cost me my eye and then later my friend was taken to be tortured in my place. If we fail again, what's stopping them from killing Y/N? If we get the book however, how would I know that Jellal would use it to get all of us including Y/N out of here? I won't leave without Y/N. I owe him.
