"The moving company finished bringing everything in yesterday," The building manager, Mr. Morikage, states with a professional, masculine voice as he leans over and presses the penthouse suite's button. You warily eye the Japanese flag sticking out of his head as he moves, a bold fashion statement, to say the least.

Tearing your (e/c) eyes away from the flag in his head, you let out a subdued hum, attempting to contain your giddy squeals of excitement in an effort to come off as a mature adult as the elevator goes up. There's a small chime as it stops on the top floor, the metal doors parting and revealing a short, pristine hallway leading to a large mahogany door at the end.

"Well, here we are," He announces, turning to you with a kind smile. "I'll be taking my leave now. I hope everything is to your liking, (l/n)-sama. Please don't hesitate to contact the front desk if you have any problems." You nod and exit the lift, its doors closing behind you.

Approaching the entrance, you fish the door key from your pocket. It was a fancy-looking object, resembling more of a car key fob than your typical house key. You place it in the latch, hearing a welcoming chime as you swing the sturdy, wooden door open. The entryway lights turn on automatically.

Stepping through the genkan of your new penthouse, you quickly slip your shoes off and place them in a spacious shoe closet to your left, leaving you in your socks. You let out an appreciative sigh as you walk further in, taking in your newly furnished home.

The living room is the first thing you see; the walls are painted a soft gray and decorated with minimalistic paintings you had picked out with the interior designer you hired. The room's furniture was a mix of modern and traditional Japanese styles, maintaining an air of sophistication while creating a warm and familiar atmosphere.

You move toward the large, floor-to-ceiling windows, soaking in the gorgeous view of the Akatsuka skyline for a moment before making your way to the kitchen.

It was a chef's dream, with state-of-the-art appliances and a spacious marble countertop. You run your hand over the smooth surface, feeling a wave of satisfaction wash over you. You weren't much of a cook, but you felt like you might start with how absurdly fancy it all was. At the very least, it'd be an excellent place to eat takeout.

The bedrooms were next, located down the hallway to the right of the living room. You peek into the first one, the master bedroom, and let out a pleased hum.

The Alaskan king-sized bed was the centerpiece, with soft, fluffy pillows and a warm, comfortable duvet. It was a bit overkill, you must admit, but you've always enjoyed the feeling of being able to roll around comfortably. The room's walls were painted a pastel shade of (f/c), with a large window on the opposite side of the bed, inviting natural light to pour in during the day.

You move to the adjacent room, designated as your home studio. It contained a sleek, modern desk where the drawing tablet you used for work lay. There were bookshelves full of manga containing both your original works and other series you enjoyed. A comfy-looking armchair sat tucked away in the corner.

Continuing down the hallway, you find the guest bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom was smaller than the master bedroom but just as charming, with a queen-sized bed and cozy decor. The bathroom was equally impressive, with a rain showerhead and luxurious marble tiling.

Having viewed everything, you head back into the living room, flopping onto your new couch. Shutting your eyes, you let out another content sigh, breathing deep through your nose. You couldn't wait to have friends over.

Getting up from the couch, you stretch your arms above your head and head toward your bedroom to change out of the stuffy clothes you wore. The outfit you currently had on was different from your usual style of dress, consisting of a flowy, pastel blouse and matching pants that were ironed stiff. It wasn't your cup of tea; you only wore it to seem put together.
