The next morning, I woke up expecting it to be sunny. Of course things didn't go my way, so when I woke up it was dark outside. I checked the time on my alarm and groaned when I saw it was 6 am. I tried to go back asleep but I couldn't. I finally gave up and got out of bed and went to get ready. When I got out of the bathroom I went in the kitchen to see my mom drinking coffee.
"Morning sweetheart, go on and help yourself to some coffee," she said then took a sip of the coffee.
"Do I always wake up this early," I asked as I poured the steaming coffee in my cup.
"Yes, you do when you have school or work, but your boss said not to come for a week until you start feeling better," Mom replied while skimming the newspaper.
"I have a job," I questioned wist I sat down in front of my mom.
"Yeah, you work in Jordans aunt's café/bakery. She's says once you start working again she'll teach you everything you might of forgotten. Oh, Joe and Jordan are going to "hang out" with you today, they'll be here at 12," mom told me as she finished her coffee and gathered her stuff to go to work.
"How do you always know when my friends are coming? Can't they just text me," I asked, worried about my moms constant access to information.
"I'm like their second mother, so of course I have there numbers. Also, your phone broke during the accident so until you get a replacement you'll be using mine, the house phone, or your friends," she mentioned then kissed me on the cheek, "I'll see you later and I want you back by 9 o'clock, understood?"
"Yeah, I got it. I'll see you at 9, love you," I said before she walked out the door, but to my surprise, she stopped at her tracks and look at me.
"I love you too. It's nice to hear you say that," Mom said looking at me with a smile before leaving. Weird, I guess in the past year I haven't been saying I love you to my mom much. I guess I'll change that.

Until it was 12, I just looked around the house and used the internet. When it was exactly 12:30, the doorbell rang and you can guess who it was.
"Heyyyyy, if it isn't James," Jordan said once I opened the door.
"Sup bro," Joe said after Jordan," Sorry the whole J team couldn't come. June had to do something today so it's just us three today." Just in case you were wondering, the J team represents the fact that all us fours names start with a J. The name just stuck since middle school, so whenever people we know see us all together they call us the J team or squad, or whatever you what to call it.
"It's cool, so where are we going," I asked as I put on my shoes.
"Well my aunts been asking about you, so we're going to visit her. I hope you're hungry," he said then smirked.
"Okay fine but how are we going to get there," I asked."Well since you don't have a car anymore we have to skate," Joe said as he lifted the skateboard I just realized he had.
"There's no way I'm going to be able to ride one of those things," I said hopelessly.
"Oh sure you will. And if you fall just remember to fall on your hands first. Don't want you to forget even more stuff now do we," Jordan joked followed by a chuckle from him and Joe.
"Fine, but I'll blame you if I break my arm," I said as we went to get my skateboard.
~*About 3 Minutes Later*~
"Guys, I'm not so sure about this," I said as I looked at my skateboard.
"You'll be fine," Jordan said hesitantly.
