Trophy was just laying there on his bed. It was unusual for him, but he just didn't feel like doing anything today. Of course, his roommate, Tissues, didn't feel like doing anything either. He didn't usually feel like doing much, anyway, due to his "condishawn."
He had recently felt a bit of sympathy for Tissues and has been helping him with medicine and other things to help with his sickness. He never told this to anybody, and told Tissues not to tell anyone either, even though he couldn't really tell anyone at the hotel anyway, since he was stuck in his shared room with Trophy most of the time.
Trophy sighed. He didn't know what to do. Maybe going out to take some pictures would help. But just as he was about to get up, there was an announcement from OJ.
"Everyone, please come down to the living room."
Well, that was pretty short. And vague. Trophy didn't understand why OJ even put intercoms around the hotel because he barely used them, anyway. He should probably get up now.
Trophy and Tissues made their way down the stairs of the hotel, and Trophy noticed almost everybody was in the living room before him. Maybe he was just that tired, affecting how fast he was moving, because he would usually at least be one of the first. Whatever. he didn't feel like wasting another thought on something as stupid as that. It's not like it's a competition or anything.
While all of the hotel residents waited for the people who hadn't arrived yet, Trophy waited for one of OJ's long, boring speeches that he felt like he could fall asleep from out of pure boredom. However, Trophy was proved wrong when OJ said with a smile, "Your room arrangements are being changed."
What? Trophy thought. I actually started to have a friendship with somebody, and he just takes it all away?
Okay, was Trophy probably overreacting? Yeah, maybe, but he was actually starting to have a positive relationship with somebody! There's no way he could do that again.
Suddenly, a knee slap jerked him out of his thoughts. Trophy had been so busy being pissed off that he hadn't noticed a specific someone standing right there next to him. The annoying, comedic cheeseball was his roommate? Trophy couldn't believe this. Why would OJ think this was a good idea? Trophy always yelled at the twerp from the crowd at his shows, and he did overhear Cheesy complaining to that paper guy about how Trophy always heckled him in the crowd. That was the only time Trophy actually laughed at Cheesy. He didn't know it annoyed him. Looking back at the complaint table situation, he did feel a bit bad that he yelled at Paper, but he shook all those feelings out.
It was time to face the present, now. He can't stay in his cozy little world of thoughts that, to be honest, weren't very cozy at all. He sighed and turned to Cheesy.
"So, you're my roommate, then?" Trophy said neutrally. "Wasn't what I had in mind.."
"Hey Trophy! Come here often?" Cheesy said with a wink.Trophy wasn't in the mood for Cheesy's...cheesiness right now. He felt like going to bed and never waking up ever again. "I have to go." he mumbled as he walked out of the hotel's doors. He knew what he was going to do. Take some pictures. His camera was still in the room, but he had his phone. It was going to have to do, for now.
The jock was finally away from everybody. He took a deep breath and took out his phone. He didn't usually take photos like these on his phone, but it didn't matter. Taking photos always calmed him. He spotted a butterfly on a plant. He was about to press the shutter button, when....
"Hey, Trophy!"
Trophy flinched, and the loud voice seemed to scare the butterfly as well, seeing as it flew away. Of course, Cheesy followed him. Of course. Just great. Trophy's moment of peace was destroyed. "Goddamn you. What do you want?" he said, annoyed, as he turned around.
"Sorry, did I make you shutter?" Cheesy slapped his knee. Trophy didn't find it funny. In fact, he thought it was way less than unfunny. "I asked you a question, twerp."
"Okay, okay, I just wanted to see what you were up to!"
"Well, can you not? I'm kinda busy here."
"Doing what?"
"Go, you idiot."
"Okay, chill. See you in the room." Cheesy left with that. Trophy watched him walk back, making sure that he actually followed his orders. And there would be no "see you in the room." Who does he think he is?Trophy turned back around after seeing Cheesy enter the doors. What a way to ruin a good picture. He would've gotten that butterfly, too. Whatever, he can just find another thing to take a picture of. It's best not to let Cheesy get to him.
