standing at around 5'6, penelope is a very pretty young lady, with tanned unblemished skin and dark pink eyes. her hair is long, red, and incredibly voluminous. attire wise, she tends to almost exclusively wear flowy vintage dresses in soft pinks, reds, and white. penelope comes off as a very bubbly, outgoing lady, a typical southern belle of sorts. happy to schmooze with anyone with a standing and can charm her way into the life of anyone she meets. she's romantic, charismatic and a tad bit naïve to all that meet her.
that isn't how she truly is, however.
having no one but herself to rely on, penny's carefully constructed her personality to make herself seem likeable and innocent. and while she is an amiable person in reality, she's nowhere near as charismatically sweet as her usual front is. she's far more jaded, calculating and incredibly flighty. she does not trust anyone she meets and hates staying in the same place for long periods of time, thus she doesn't really care about the consequences of her actions as she never sticks around long enough to witness the fallout.
strengths — • being charismatic and silver tongued, penny has a knack for easily figuring out what type of person she has to be in order to get on someone's good side. she knows what to say, how to act, anything she needs to get what she wants.
• she is incredibly adaptable. she knows how to adjust to most situations and make the most of them; and most importantly, how to get out of them.
• despite being a serial con artist, she doesn't hurt people when she doesn't need to. she may be a thief, but she isn't interested in being a genuinely bad person. and if she can, she does try to help others.

though the circumstances are unknown, penelope was abandoned before she was old enough to live on her own and had no one to rely on for the majority of her life. in her youth she resorted to petty crime to get buy - mostly stealing food as it was easier and less dangerous than stealing money. but eventually she worked her way up from snacks and spare change to trinkets that could be sold to nonlocals. her thievery escalated slowly over time, as she grew older and smarter - small trinkets became bigger and more useful items, she became more socially inclined, more natural as she learned behaviors that it easier for her to get away with her actions. she would portray herself as a sweet, dainty piece of arm candy to work her way into more upper class places, pretending to care about older lonely folk in order to gain access to their material possessions. her current MO is infiltrating upscale auctions, stealing high value items and replacing them with fakes, then taking the goods elsewhere in order to sell them for a ridiculously high price.
she has no home and no family. all she has to worry about is herself.
