chapter 1: new start

🫀⋆ :: Neteyam had awakened from his 10-hour rest. His body was aching and felt as if he had just been in a war. He rubbed his eyes and slowly got up from his bed. The clock on the wall showed 5:30am. He groaned, taking a deep breath as he rubbed his tired body. He decided to slowly open the curtains, taking his time to not wake up his sleeping family.

As he reached the bottom of the curtains, he hesitated for a moment. He didn't want to wake his siblings, especially not in this early hour. However, his curiosity got the best of him, and he pulled the curtain aside slowly. The morning-light streaming through the window filled the room, making it easier for him to pull the curtain aside. He stood there, taking in the stunning view of the morning sky as he waited for his eyes to adjust to the light.

"Today is the first day at a new school, don't fuck it up Teyam" he murmured to himself whilst tiding up his bed. Once that chore was accomplished, he tip-toed out of his room into the shower, hoping he didn't make a noise. Faintly and slowly, he knocked on the bathroom door. "Anyone in there?" he whispered as quietly as he could. Just as Neteyam was about to touch the door knob, a little voice could echoing from below him. "Teyam?" he paused, but recognised that little sweet, calm voice. Looking down he saw a little Tuk, rubbing her eyes in her cute bunny pyjama's.

"Oh sorry Tuk, did I wake you?" she shook her head vastly and yawned. "Let's get you back to bed, I need to get ready for school". Neteyam picked Tuk up and got to her room quickly, placing her in the bed. "Goodnight" he whispered kissing her forehead. "Yo Tey! what's good my bro-" Neteyam's eyes dilated as he quickly shushed Lo'ak. "Lo'ak, shut up! I just put Tuk to bed and you know Mama will be mad if she doesn't sleep" ... "Sorry bro, can I use the shower though?" "No! you always use the hot-water, so you can wait". Neteyam walked away leaving an annoyed Lo'ak in the hallway.

Neteyam swiftly stripped, and went into the shower, adjusting the hot and cold water to make a perfect mix of warm. After a short 5 minute shower, he hopped out brushing his teeth while humming. "Neteyam honey, is that you?" his mother called out from the hallway. "Yes mama, i'm just about to hop out" pure silence .. "Alright, i'll see you when you come out." Neteyam finished 2 minutes later and saw Kiri emerging from her room, surprisingly already dressed. "Kiri, how did you shower already?" "I used Mama and Papa's bathroom" she smiled warmly and went into Tuk's room to get her ready. By now, it was already 6:45. "Lo'ak! hurry up before you get in trouble. "Chillax, i'm going" As Lo'ak walked passed Neteyam, he slapped him on the back of the head. "What the fuck dude?" .. "Language Lo'ak!" .. "Sorry Ma". Neteyam finally made it to his room, despite the fact of all the obstacles. His outfit was simple.

— Blue jean shorts.
— White collared shirt.
— Black vest.
— Regular Vans.

He quickly adjusted his braids, making sure they looked neat in the process. When he heard someone call for him.
"Teyam, kiri whined where did you put my lunch last night?". Kiri yelled from the kitchen down stairs. "One second!". He zoomed downstairs, finding Tuk and Kiri sitting patiently on the table. Tuk eating her oatmeal, and Kiri waiting for her lunchbox, while scrolling on their new school's page. "Hey" he breathed. "Hi teyam!" Tuk said all bubbly, with her mouth full obviously. "Tuk don't speak with your mouth full" she looked at Kiri apologetically and continued eating. "Hello tey, how was your sleep?" she asked without taking her eyes off her phone.

"I slept well, despite the fact my body hurts like crazy" she laughed a bit then placed her phone down. "Where's my lunchbox?" "In the fridge second level behind the milk" she nodded in a thanks manner just as lo'ak came down. "Look who decided to show up" Kiri snickered. "Shut up bitch" "Penis face!". "That's enough" their father called from the couch. "What's a penis?" .... "It's best if you don't know" neteyam spat out. "What's for breakfast?" Lo'ak asked taking a seat next to Kiri. "It's avocado toast and eggs, Kiri could you please bring the plates?" She nodded and brought all three plates. "Excited for a new school? Again" .... Kiri sighed heavily "No" "I am! I hope there are some hot girl's" "You fucking make me sick Lo'ak." Kiri said giving him the look. "I'm just excited we finally have a new education set, all this moving has really effected my chances of getting into college." Everyone nodded in agreement.
