Daenerys grew faster than her father would have liked. Her silver hair had grown and a bit of Targaryen was visible in her. Her eyes were exactly the same as her deceased mother's. Cold blue wasn't a characteristic of the Targaryens, but it was of the Starks. Her childlike appearance was charming, and her wide smile that never left the dragon princess's face lit up even the darkest day.

That day was the end of her first name day. For the occasion, her father and her grandfather's Small Council planned a week-long celebration. The celebrations were to be filled with sumptuous feasts, tournaments and performances by singers who composed several songs especially for this day.

Her aunt, Princess Viserra Targaryen, took on the task of weaving a small braid of her niece's soft hair, as long as the length would allow. The braid started at the top of her head and continued to the end of her hair, revealing the soft face of the young princess. Colorful flowers were woven into the braid, which added sweetness to Daenerys' appearance. Later, the older princess started selecting the girl's outfit. She chose a blue dress that was light enough to keep the baby's body from melting from the hot sun that shone on this special day. The dress matched Daenerys's eye color perfectly and Viserra was pleased with the end result.

Viserra was one and ten. She was slowly entering the period where she would be considered as a potential bride for one of the noble men in the Seven Kingdoms. But Viserra was a very ambitious girl from an early age. She didn't want to marry some boring lord and become his lady-wife. She wanted to wear the queen's crown, specifically the crown forged from Valyrian steel and adorned with three rubies that her mother wore. And she would do anything to become queen.

Viserra Targaryen was said to be the most beautiful of the Queen's daughters. She had purple eyes that sparkled with mischief, silver-gold hair that fell down her back in soft waves, flawless skin, and perfectly defined, full lips. All of Alysanne's daughters were beautiful, but there was something about Viserra that made her stand out from her sisters.

"Come, my beautiful niece," the one-and-ten princess picked up the baby and placed her on her hip. "Let's show all these lords and ladies that Princess Viserra Targaryen and Princess Daenerys Targaryen are two dragons who can win someone's heart with just one look."

The Queen's daughter emerged from the younger girl's chambers, carrying her in her arms, and walked through the intricate corridors of the Red Keep until she came to the courtyard where Ser Aemon Targaryen was often seen in the company of other knights. The King's eldest son abdicated his title as Crown Prince in favor of his younger brother, Prince Baelon. From an early age, Aemon loved hearing stories about battles and knights. He was a young boy when he began his training with the best knights in King's Landing, but they soon became too weak for him. The king ordered the best knights from all over Westeros to be brought to King's Landing to face his son. Aemon has never lost a duel. And he soon became known as one of the best knights in all of Westeros.
