“Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.”

Epicurus quotes (Greek philosopher, BC 341-270)

Robyn's POV

I woke with sweaty palms and a racing heart. Last night was an even day, November the 18th. But still I had the nightmare. With shaking hands I wiped the sweat off of my forehead. My door swung open and my older brother, Caine burst into my room.

“I heard screaming” he panted. His green eyes scanned my room, looking for whatever made me scream.

I shook my head, and swolled, “N-n-no I just…” my eyes wondered around as I looked for the right words.

“Had a nightmare?” he finished for me.

I nodded my head and he stared at me in confusion. He knew that I only got them on odd days, not even. “It’s freaking me out too” I added softly. Something was wrong. I could feel it, but I didn’t know what.

Caine sat down slowly on my bed, holding me tightly. I was scared. And he knew it too. Caine was only a year younger than me, but sometimes, it seemed like he was older than me. “I’m sure its nothing” He whispered softly into my ear.

I hugged him back, nodded my head, hugging him tighter. Even though I knew he was just saying that to make me feel better, it wasn’t really helping.
