You weren't exactly born under a lucky star, were you?

You always believed that. At one point, you gave up and stopped trying. You knew that it was pointless anyways. Since the day you were born you've been set up for a life of pain and tragedy. But dropping out of college was definitely the last push you needed to give up. You had no motivation to wake up in the morning even.

You didn't plan to live for long. Often, when your mind would go to dark places, you even wandered to the bridge. You didn't jump or anything, but you thought about it.

You also developed a habit of talking to strangers online and just saying the most out of pocket things ever. You won't even live until the next year, so why not just speak your opinions out?

There was a lot of anonymous chatrooms and video call platforms, and you abused the hell out of it. You felt like you could tell any secret of yours to the strangers in the chat.

Tonight, you walked to the bridge once again. You decided to start a video chat. Usually you wouldn't do them, but tonight you felt like you might even get the courage and jump later in the night, so might aswell enjoy a chat and show the person on the other end the beautiful view of the moonlight reflecting in the water.

"It's so pretty. I wouldn't even mind it if this was the last scene I'd see in this lifetime."

You took your phone out and went to the usual chat room you'd go on. It was pretty late but it was a global one, so you're still gonna have someone connect and talk with you. At first, it was some random people who were trolling and saying weird things so you'd skip them. Eventually though, you've connected with a guy who seemed rather chill, but you didn't see his face though. You saw him from below his jaw, he was wearing a black hoodie and grey sweatpants. In front of him was a table with a rather suspicious white powder, and it didn't help seeing him form lines with it either.  He didn't seem to have noticed you though.

"Uh... Hello?"

He turned to the camera once he heard you speak up. You still didn't see his full face but you could tell he had pink hair dripping down on his shoulders. Did you seriously connect to a random junkie? Well, these type of people may be the best ones to talk to anyway when you're about to jump to your death.

"Oh? A girl?"

You could see a grin form on his face. The light wasn't the best on his end, so there was a few awkward shadows around and you couldn't tell much apart. You thought you saw something in the corners of his mouth... Some unusual makeup style maybe?

"What are you doing there?"

He smirks at your question. "Coke. You ever do drugs?"

"No. I've got no money really."

"So if you had some, you would go ahead and try?"

You shrugged at his question. You didn't really take care of your body anyways. Why wouldn't you try something if it might make you feel a little better for a short moment?

He had a wide grin on his face now. Kind of looks like Joker. "You're an easy one. Bet you'd be a hopeless junkie after a month. What's your name?"

"Y/n."

"Tell me y/n... Why are ya outside?"

"Dunno. Look..."

You switched to your back camera and showed him the view from the bridge. You could also make out the buildings on both sides of the river. The moon was really pretty, even on camera.

"Oh, you like the view huh? That's romantic."

"What is your name?" You asked him. It was only fair to know this guys' name after telling him yours.
