Frustration

You don't understand how frustrating just sitting there trying to find what mystery video your group has chosen for you all to dance to online is, and that is exactly how I was spending my night. I had forgotten the name of the stupid song...so I have been sitting here...for hours trying to find this stupid song so I can learn the dance before practice. None of the girls were coming home tonight, it's the night before Thanksgiving they're all out with their families, of course they wouldn't be at the dorm.

If you're wondering why I'm not home with family, it's because my mom is all I have...or had. The rest of my family either left or didn't bother to meet me.

Before the accident my mom always told me to work hard for what you want, and that's exactly what I was going to do before I forgot the name of the dance. Honestly I couldn't remember whether we were dancing to Vixx, Bts, or Exo so I've spent 3 hours looking through every dance they have, listening to each song they have to see if I remembered but nope...nothing.

These girls that I call my family and best friends are all in a dance group with me. It's seven of us including myself, and the name we agreed on is Yulyeong Dosi. We've gotten pretty big online for our song and dance covers. I was put in charge of writing songs for our first album but everyone has their own job.

Myeong is the leader of Yulyeong Dosi and is our dance choreographer, a rapper, and vocalist.

Blythe is one of the main dancers and a lead vocal along with me.

Ni-ha is our lead rapper and she plays the majority of the instruments needed for the songs.

Thalia is our song and video editor and a vocalist.

Hunnie is a rapper and our manager.

Rose is a rapper and lead dancer.

I unconsciously grab the necklace around my neck, ready to scream out of frustration as I look at the screen.

My necklace is made identical to my birthmark, just as everyone else had.

I groaned and pressed the off button and the hologramed computer screen disappeared. I need to take a break...

I looked down at my necklace, it's a diamond inside another diamond with lines surrounding it all cut in half. Supposedly my soul mate has the same birthmark and necklace as me, just mirrored. Our necklaces are supposed to become warmer the closer the two people are however mine has always been ice cold...I just don't believe that there is someone meant for me anymore.

When I was little I always thought something magical would happen. Maybe I would meet someone on the street and my necklace would grow hot as I looked at him...maybe it could be love at first sight when we noticed our necklaces...but that never happened, and never will.

I spun the necklace in my fingers, I can't help thinking what if...what if he's real?

I heard the main lock to the house turn. It's 2047 locks are too advanced for average people to break into, however hackers can easily unlock any door, but that is very unlikely.

I peaked my head out of my doorway to see who it was.

The room was far too dark to see anything but the light from my room aloud me to see an outline of the body.

"Hello?" I sounded annoyed but I was to confused to be annoyed.

"Oh good you're up!" I knew that voice, it's Ni-ha.

Her family was out of town and so she made plans to spend Thanksgiving with an old friend of hers, Jordan. So why is she here?

"Ni I'm alway up. You know me, I never sleep." I said laughing and leaving the door way.

"Please explain why the fuck you were sticking your head out like some sneak?" Ni-ha almost cried from how hard she was laughing at me.

"I dunno..." I said avoiding the topic of my paranoia. "Why are you here anyways?"

"Jordan's got the flu, looks like your stuck with me for the holiday." She said smiling, she tripped and almost fell as she walked over to me.

"Wow not even two minutes and you already trip." I cracked a joke and tried to keep her from tipping over.
