a/n: part 2 of the sequel! starting to realize that i could've just published this as a separate fic (since it has so many chapters) but oh well 🥲

You run right into Wanda's arms when you jump out of the helicopter, almost making both of you fall over when you hug her in a storm. She squeaks, holding you close as you almost start crying. "I missed you!", you exclaim, your voice sounding muffled because your face is pressed against her shoulder.

"I missed you too!", she replies, squeezing you.

Natasha watches you with a small smile on her face. "Anyone miss me?"

"I did." Wanda lets go of you and runs to hug Natasha, wrapping her arms around the older one's neck. The redhead laughs and hugs her back.

"Good to know." She smiles, letting go of her again. "Is anyone else here? Or is it just us?"

"Pepper, Tony, Vis, Bruce...and that's it. Steve is visiting Peggy."

"Okay, good. So we're almost complete."

"Thor's in Asgard?", you ask Wanda.

"Yeah, he is. I think he'll visit again soon. Peter's at his aunt's, obviously." She makes you go inside, where she hands you some cupcakes. Being back at the compound feels surreal, but you're relieved. You missed being here.

Soon, the others join you as well. They're all just as excited to be back, although Tony keeps pretending like he doesn't care. You know he does, he just refuses to show it.

Despite the fight you had a few months ago, everything seems to have gone back to normal. You chat, exchange stories, laugh at the stupidest things and feel more than glad being home again. Just sitting on that couch that you've grown so accustomed to, feeling the firm cushion behind your back...you can't quite describe the feeling, but it's wonderful.

You're sitting next to Natasha — of course. The two of you decided to keep your relationship secret for now and not tell anyone (not even Wanda), so you're not holding hands or cuddling or anything. Still, feeling her next to you is important. It's something you've gotten used to by now.

"Not to brag, but we were in the Maldives", Tony says, grinning. "Five star hotel, right on the beach. Best food ever."

"Must've been nice", Natasha says, lifting one eyebrow. "Y/N and I were in some trailer in Norway. At first it was fine, but then it got cold. We needed three blankets every night."

"You could've gone anywhere else", Tony points out. "The world's your oyster or something like that. Why the hell did you pick Norway anyway?"

"Because Norway's huge, peaceful and not that obvious. Also, who wants to go on some kind of spa-holiday when they're on the run?"

"I do." He shrugs. "Hey, you can look relaxed and nicely tanned while hiding, too."

You roll your eyes and chuckle silently, pulling on a thread that's sticking out of your sleeve. You're far too tired to engage in the conversation at this point, as it's already past midnight.

Wanda, who's sitting on your left, yawns and leans her head against your shoulder. "Tired?", you whisper as the others keep talking loudly.

"Yep."

"Same with me."

She yawns again. "I'm afraid I'll have to deprive you of my presence now. I'm going to bed."

"Yeah?" You squeeze her hand. "Night, Wands."

"Night, Y/N." She gives you a short hug and then she leaves. You look at Natasha, who's sipping on her beer.
