After they finished their run of today's music, they laid down on the cold tiled floor and panted. All expect Alexandria and Paul
Alexandria went to the table and drank some of her water. After she finished, she kept standing tired.Alexandria: You know, it's not good to lay down after something physical like dancing. It slows down your stamina and endurance.
Andrew: And singing and dancing at the same time fastens my heart beat. You know what slows it down? Laying down!
Victoria: I'd have to agree with that. We have been practicing for the last 3 hours too.Andrew looks at the clock and lifts his upper body up to check if he saw that right.
Andrew: Since 4:30??
Jennifer: Yep, I say we should just rest until about…give it 8:30
Alexandria: AlrightPaul takes a drink of cold water and puts on his suit jacket. Victoria caught him and got up to ask him.
Victoria: Hey, where are you
He turns around to face her while fixing his jacket, flapping it to prevent wrinkles
Paul: Outside to have a cigarette, honey. I'll be back
Victoria: Well, alright. We'll be in the house when you come back.
Paul: The height house or the actual house?
Victoria: Actual
Paul: Okay, I'll see you guys.He sets off to smoke a cigarette while the others open the staircase door
Meanwhile (at the front/lobby):
Ava's mom: I'm telling you, you just saw it wrong, even your dad said so
Ava: Okay, but what if I was right?
Ava's mom: If you saw 1989 and they still look like they're in their twenties, I would have to ask for skin tips. Now, go to your job and don't freak yourself out from your imagination
Ava: You're right, I should just take a day after day. Not to it other than work.
Ava's mom: That's right. Another thing, either you gonna have to learn how to drive so you can drive back home, or you talk to your boss about your shift.
Ava: But mom, I don't-
Ava's mom: Uh-uh, no. I'm NOT waking at 2 am just to take you home each day
Ava: Okay, I'll talk to him. To be fair, I wouldn't to do that either.Ava's mom kisses her on the forehead
Ava's mom: Okay, I love you. Bye!
Ava: I love you too, momAva's mom walks out of the building while Ava checks in
Ava: Oh, where is Mr Lavericks room?
Man #1: On the left hallway, go straight forward to the clear exit door, then go right. It'll be the second door to your right.
Ava: Okay, thank you sir
Man 1: You're welcome ma'amAs she followed the instructions, she looked through the exit door. Paul was smoking on the side of the door, standing in the grass laced with mildew. She took as a opportunity to talk to him
Ava: *thinking* I'll go for a short walk around the building with him and return to work. I won't take that long.
She walks straight to the door and opens it. It creaks as she closes it.
Paul blows out a mist of smoke and sighs. Without turning around, he starts a conversationPaul: Say Michael, how long have you been helping new workers here? I mean- I think I saw you start at around when Jennifer got here so like 19-
Ava: It's not Micheal.Paul dropped his cigarette and put it out, rubbing it into the ground. He tensed up and slowly turned around.
Paul: My apologies, I just supposed it was Micheal since he usually walks out here and has one with me
Ava: So you've been doing that for a long time till it just felt natural, huh?
Paul: I guess- well no, not a long time you see, I've been working since I was 23. I'm now 26
Ava: Wow, so how long ago is that?
Paul: Excuse me
Ava: I said how long ago was that?
Paul: Oh around - 1997?
Ava: You had to think about it?
Paul awkwardly laughed and came up with an excuse..
Paul: All this work, why, I forget myself sometimes!
Ava: It can feel like
