Yves'

Great heavens!

My mind is all over the place right now, mother might've just barged into my bedroom when the sun woke up and of course, she woke me up too.

She told me that we have to get going and see the important places first because father plotted another gathering again.

I ran along the hallway tidying my shirt, it's a simple shirt, and I don't wanna look too much.
Arriving at the kitchen where Mother called me, it is chaotic, messy, and busy, for sure.

Good god, help me.

Thankfully, I'm very neat now and presentable. Breaking my fast at the kitchen, I've no time to sit down and wander off, as my mom is so busy running this place according to her orders.

"Celia, make the soup more savory," she ordered the lady who has supposedly cooked here for 8 years now, and add more basil." She then walked up to another lady. "Cut that in half one more," she added.

"Yves, darling, are you done?" I took a bite of my bread and drank first before answering, "Just a second." I looked around the kitchen, and it was busy.

This is not what it looks like in Sylvia, the servants there accompany me to dine and are a lot less busy.

They are busy cooking for tonight's gathering, well actually it's not a 'sudden' gathering they said they just 'forgot'. I cannot seem to comprehend that these are my mother and father.

This very day is the day when some soldiers who are appointed here, or in any position will be honored at the hall by the King himself.

How dare they forget this very day? the soldiers must've waited for this moment to come and then what?

I shook my head in dismay, but they were very close to the servants as I observed more, everyone was smiling at each other and it was like they were friends. I admire that.

I look around more, and I see a door leading out to the backyard. I'm guessing that is where the dirty kitchen is. I was about to walk up there until my mother's voice echoed in the room.

"Yves, if you are done let's go. I'm done with all the work here" the Queen stated empathically.

We walked out of there leading me to a hallway full of doors.

"Yves, this is where I drink my tea in the morning. And also read, the drawing room" She said while motioning her hands to the table and chairs, "It's magnificent, full of greenery" I complimented the place.

"Oh dear, I wanna go to the market with you" Mother's eyes beamed with sparkle as she suggested that.

"Absolutely, of course," I agreed, I have nothing to do anyway, well yet.

"I'm sure you've seen the dining, and hallways with a bunch of rooms," she rattled, "Now, here we are, our pianoforte, and other things musical in there" She opened the door, and I could not help but be in awe of the sight.

I have played piano before since I was seven, I grew up tied to our pianoforte back in Sylvia. As I walked right in front of it and delicately caressed the keys, "I knew you'd love it" She commented.

It is a white, white pianoforte with a chair that matches it. "Yes, I do" I look at my mother and mouthed 'Thank you' at her.

This is so beautiful, I would be here every day.
