The rapid clatter of keys echoed through the room as Pratishtha furiously typed on her laptop, her brow furrowed in intense focus. Every now and then, she mumbled under her breath, occasionally pausing to adjust the wording of her email.

Her screen displayed the draft she'd been slaving over:

Mr. Patel,

We urgently need to address the recent breaches in our firewall system. The latest defect assessment report highlights several critical vulnerabilities that could be exploited. Immediate action is necessary to patch these weaknesses before they're compromised. Let's schedule a meeting with the IT team tomorrow to discuss a comprehensive action plan.

Satisfied with her edits, she hovered her finger over the Send button when—

BANG!

Ananya burst through the door with enough energy to make an earthquake seem subtle. Her loud, confident voice filled the room as she sauntered in, plopped onto the couch with a dramatic flop, and sprawled out like she owned the place.

Pratishtha jumped in her seat, clutching her chest like her soul had momentarily left her body. "Tum aaj mujhe maar kar hi saans logi," she sputtered, leaning on the table for support as her heart tried to recover from the ambush.

(TRANSLATION: You'll only breathe after killing me today.)

Ananya gasped theatrically, placing a hand on her chest. "Haww! Is this what you think of me? A murderer? Your best friend? Your sister?" she said in mock outrage, dramatically rolling her eyes for added effect.

Pratishtha groaned, rubbing her temples as though the noise was physically causing her pain. "I didn't mean it like that—just leave it! Why are you even here?" she snapped, exasperated.

Ananya squinted her eyebrows, scratching her chin in confusion. "Me? Uh... Wait!... why am I here?"

"ANANYA, YOU—"

"Oh, yes!" she interrupted herself, snapping her fingers. "I remembered!" she shouted, making Pratishtha wince and cover her ears.

"Aaj ghar jaane ka iraada hai aapka ya mandli bulaakar yahi jagrata karein?" Ananya deadpanned, to which, Pratishtha rolled her eyes as she adjusted her laptop screen.
