The Asylum

Cam?

Jack: "uh guys?"

Everyone: "what?"

Jack: "the camcorder broke i think. I changed out the battery and it still says low"

Me and Cam watched Jack and Ari mess with the camcorder but I had the Nikon so we could still film but it would be blurry and even darker. After a few minutes Ari and Jack gave up on the camcorder and put it back in the bag. We always had two Nikons just in case we wanted to split up and while at the moment I was opposed to the idea but when everyone else agreed I felt like I had to so I did. I was with Cam and Ari and Jack were together of course because Ari did not want it any other way. We said our goodbyes and planned to meet back at the main entrance at 10pm sharp. The current time was 8:30pm.

Will: "i feel like we are in a episode of Scooby Doo"

I was trying to lighten the mood, I could tell Cam was terrified and so was I.

Cam: "same.... All we need is a talking dog"

She chuckled a little which made me happy, Cam always calmed me down with a soft smile or a pat on the back. I did not take much for her to make me smile, i feel like we were better friends then her and Ari. The whole group had taken notice of Ari's sudden aggression; it was always unprovoked. We could ask a simple question and she would treat us like we were dumb but last year she was so kind and understanding. She always took the time to make sure we had everything and if everything was safe while it was clear she had the hardest job when we first had the idea to do exploring tapes she was persistent on giving her the hardest job and not evenly distributing the work. It was what she liked, always fast paced and busy.

Will: "yea haha..."

We walked around and made it to one of many treatment centers and there was blood all over the walls and a foul smell coming from one of the abandoned rooms. There was broken glass everywhere and as we looked around we saw a table with broken restraints where the legs and wrists of the patient would be bound. I looked like someone broke out and hurt or even killed everyone that was in the room. Was this the room where it all started? Or were there multiple escaped patients? So many questions and yet no answers.

Cam: "woah..."

I was busy vomiting from the smell while Cam was looking at all the blood and gory stuff. She had a stomach of steel and we usually made her go to places like this first so she could prepare us for what was to come. After I threw up my lunch I composed myself and started looking around with Cam. I handed her the camera because I did not want people seeing me vomit but after I took it back and we continued.

Will: "what do you think happened?"

Cam: "well some rando probably got out right before his treatment and attacked everyone"

Will: "yuck"

We left the room and then kept walking until around 9pm. Cam kept wiping her head around at me and looking mad after a few times she stopped then turned around fully mad.

Cam: "Will you stop that!"

I was very confused when she did this. I had both my hands on the camera the whole time.

Will: What? I'm not doing anything?"

Cam: you keep touching my shoulder stop it!

After a few seconds of cam yelling her face turned pale snow.

Will: c-cam? What h-happened?

Cam was silent for a second then her eyes widened.

Cam: please tell me there is some sort of bug or spider on my shoulder

Will: What? There is nothing there. Are you ok?"

Cam's face became even more scared and she started to shake a little.

Will: C-cam?

Cam whined and fell to the ground like she had just got punched in the gut. She held her stomach and groaned. I was scared out of my mind and I had no clue what to do. I caught it on camera. I did not punch her and it was just me and her around Ari and Jack were on the other side of the asylum. I got down on my knees to help her but I was still very confused.

Will: C-cam!?
