Chapter 4

Namjoo's POV

Kringggg... kringg

I woke up because I heared my phone ringing..

"Hello, are you Mr and Mrs Kim's daughter?" Someone asked on the other line

"Y-yes.." I answered

"I am the nurse from Seoul Hospital.. There is something I need to tell you. I am so s-sorry to say this but... your parents just past away a few minutes ago.." the nurse said

"W-what!?" I burst out with tears of sadness

"Yes, I know that your shocked but I'm so sorry I have to tell you this.." the nurse said

Then, I quickly hang up the phone and ran as fast as I can to Seoul Hospital.When I reached there, I saw them covering up my parents body with a white cloth..

"No...nooo!!! Don't leave me!!!" I cried

Then the nurse came and calmed me down.. but I was to hurt ... So, I ran back home and just slammed the door and cried in my room for hours.. I kept on screaming " why would you guys leave me!!!!!". I know the whole neighbourhood would think that I am crazy but I didnt care.. After a few hours of crying, I heard someone ringing the house bell..

"Go away"!! I screamed as loud as I can

Then, my best friend called my phone and said

"Do we need to talk?" She asked

"Just l-leave me alone!! I scolded her while tears flowing down from my eyes.. I felt very bad for scolding her but my heart was just like a glass shattered into pieces but can never be put back together.

" Kim Namjoo!!open the door this instance.. " I heared my best friend calling.

"GO AWAY!!" I said

"No!!! I am not going to leave this house until you open the door!" She said

Then, I quickly calmed myself and went downstairs. I opened the door slowly while trying to make myself strong..

"Are you okay?" Naeun asked

"M-my parents passed away..."I told her while bursting out into tears again

"Oh, I am so sorry to hear that Namjoo.."How about you come and stay at my house for a few days since my parents are not at home for a few days?" She said

"O-okay.. but how about school? The princapal will sure punish you for not coming to school.. " I said

"It's okay.. so who cares if I got punish by the principal? As long I can make you feel better" she said

I was so happy to have a best friend like Naeun.. She helped me packed my things and she drove me to her house. When we reached her house, she calmed me down a try to remind me that everything "that you love sure will have to go away one day".. After listening to that sentence, I finally realised that what she said was so true..

"You can stay here as long as you want Namjoo until you feel better.." she said

"Thank you so much for understanding" I said to her

~~~ The next morning~~~

"Are you sure you want to go to school?" Naeun asked

"I'm sure.."

~~~ At school~~~

While I was walking as usual to school, suddenly Kyungsoo came up to me and asked " why didn't come to school?"I wanted to give you something" he said

" I am so sorry, but can we meet after school at the playground?" I asked

"Sure.."I will wait for you

Then, the bell rang. So, Naeun and I went for our classes.. I waited so badly because I really wanted to tell Kyungsoo about what happened to my parents

Ringgggg... the bell finally rang.

"Naeun you don't have to take me home I will meet you at your house later" I said

"Okay, but come back early.." she said

"I will.." I replied

After school, I went to the playground to tell Kyungsoo about the incident. When I reached there, I saw him waiting for me while sitting on the swing..

"I'm so sorry for keeping you wait" I told him

"It's okay.. now what were you going to tell me?"he asked

Then, I told him about what happend to my parents

"No wonder you looked so sad the whole day in school. Don't worry I'm here for you" he said.

Then, he took out a box from his pocket and gave it to me.

"This is for you" he said while smiling at me

"T-thank you.." I said feeling kinda curious

"Open it" he said

When I opened the box I saw a half heart shape necklace that wrote "K" on it

"Nice,but where is the other half of the necklace?" I asked

" I'm wearing the other half. Mine wrote the letter "N" he said. This is our friendship necklace. If you wear this, this will show that we will always be friends forever. So, keep this necklace safe okay?" he said

"Okay, and thank you" I said happily while my cheeks started to blush a bit

Then, he helped me put on the necklace over my neck.

"Let me walk you home to Naeun's house" he said

"Okay.." I replied

~~~ After a few minutes~~~

"So, we are here!I'll see you in school tomorrow"I said

"Okay, I'll see you in school tomorrow too" he answered
