"Hello! Are you Lorelei and Brenn?"
"Yes, he and I are"
"Oh! Are you pregnant?"
"How do you know?"
"Just a lucky guess?"
"Oh, okay!"
"Hey can I ask? Why do you guys chose to date near the lake?"
"Oh, my husband- he.." she stutters
"He has cancer, he needs fresh air and it's his last day tomorrow. I can't believe our daughter wouldn't even get to hug, kiss or even see him"
"Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry to hear that."
She nods and continues fixing his husband's hair
"Brenn, before you die, what will I name our children?"
He responded, "Matilda, the first movie we watched together, we met on the cinema while watching that movie. Oh Lorelei, I'm sorry I need to leave you both. Please forgive me."
Mother replied, "I forgive you Brenn, I always will. Forever."
They hugged each other as I rub both of their back, to at least comfort them.
"Goodbye Brenn, Goodbye father."
As I exit 1984 through the time travel door, I looked at them both and said "Long story short, but at least I met you dad. I am your daughter from the future."
