~ Will's P.O.V. ~

I glanced up at the ceiling, dreading the day head of me. My alarm clock hadn't went off yet, but I also haven't slept at all. It was 5:17 A.M., the sun peaking up from behind the mountains. The first week of the 11th grade had already slowly dragged on.

I guess I didn't have that many friends in school, or at least they didn't make a big enough effort to talk to me on a daily basis. During high school, I lost a lot of friends and it made a very big impact on my life. Some of my closest friends left me for better people and I guess I was alone for 9th, 10th, and probably the 11th grade.

A loud ringing filled the silence. I slid the bar across my phone to it turn off. I dragged myself out of my bed, pulling on a pair of skin tight jeans and a light gray Vans teeshirt. I grabbed my phone and my backpack as I slid out of the door, snatching my black beanie that would hide my hideous hair and missing my mom on the way out.

Rain from the previous night dampened the sidewalk, staining it a dusty white. I saw a few girls walking ahead of me laughing at gossip they spread recently about the other girls in their classes. The school came into sight after a short walk. People stood outside the main doors, waiting for the bell to ring. I walked inside, getting ignored for the whole first block.

During third period, I overheard two guys in my class talking about Jordan coming out. Me and Jordan used to be friends from the 2nd to 8th grade. I guess we kinda have a long history together. It surprised me to hear that Jordan was gay. He was the first guy in 4th grade to get a girlfriend. He continued breaking hearts after that. He's probably dated 20+ girls, just in this school.

When lunch finally came around, I headed into the bathroom to wash my hands. Right as I entered, I heard sobs coming from some guy with his head held down in front of the mirror.

I tapped his shoulder. "Are you okay man?"

He glanced up at me. It was Jordan.

"I'm fine," he mumbled while wiping away his tears. A flash beamed in his eyes as he realized who he was talking to.

"Hey Jordan"

"Hi Will" he added, a small smile crossing his face.

It reminded me of old times when we stuck to each other's sides.

"You've probably heard.."

I nodded, pulling him in for a hug. His tears left marks on my shirt, but I didn't mind.

"I've lost everyone, Will. Even you."

"You haven't lost me."

We both sat on the bathroom floor, his head in my lap as I stroked his brown hair back into place. His bright green eyes didn't glow as much as they used to but there was still a little light behind them. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me in closer. "I've missed you."
