Regina George snd gretchen wieners had been dating since late sophomore year. Why was this such an important piece of important? Because even though Gretchen and Karen join the plastics in like 8th grade, Karen developed feelings for Gretchen since they were so close. Sophia Karen finding out the news was devastating. Her heart broke into a million pieces. Everytime she sees them together it was bitter and sour. Her feelings felt crushed each time. But she didn't tell anyone. To everyone, she was just the blonde dumb slut on the plastics. But she was more then that. Karen had dated some guys since that happened. She only dated them to feel something other then heart break. Hanging out at Regina's house was depressing. Karen's heart drops every time the 2 show and affection or even kiss on the cheek. She knows she has to go. She doesn't wanna make Regina mad. So she doesn't say anything. She doesn't wanna get in the way of their relationship. She stays silent and acts happy for them. Supporting them. Helping them go on secret dates. Etc. No one would even listen to her anyways. Everyone thinks she's stupid. Karen knows this. She accepted it. She agreed. She's failing every single class. Everything she ever says is seemed stupid to everyone. So she just agreed and falls into the role of the dumb little pretty blonde. Karen can't even talk to Gretchen. Every time she tries to talk to her one on one, Regina shows up or Gretchen is too busy following Regina's every move. So Karen follows Gretchen. When she does get an opportunity, Gretchen always gets a call from Regina or she always talks about Regina. Karen's nods and listens.
Today at lunch, Gretchen was silent. Earlier Gretchen told Karen about how Regina keeps talking about her ex-boyfriend Aaron Samuel's. Karen silently wrapped her arm around Gretchen hesitantly not knowing when Regina would show up or how Gretchen would react. Gretchen looked up at Karen and smiled. Karen gave her a reassuring smile back. It was a silent and sweet moment.
Then Regina shows up.
Gretchen quickly pulls away and smiled up at Regina. Karen had to silently third wheel. The 2 chatted away. Gretchen smiled and even twirled her hair at Regina. Her eyes were filled with nothing but puppy love. Karen hates it. She wished Gretchen would look at her the way she looks at Regina. But it's also like as if Regina knows.
Regina fixed Gretchen's hair a little mad brushed it back. Regina smirked at Karen. It adds to Karen's envy and jealousy.
"I don't understand why you don't wear your hair like this Gret. You look so sexy with your hair out in the front like this. Doesn't her hair look sexy like this, Karen?" Regina said as she pushed Gretchen's hair forward. Gretchen was in a love trance as she stared at Regina with lovey dovey eyes and a smile.
"yea..your hair does look sexy pushed forward Gretchen." Karen's tone in voice was different. It was annoyed and dismissive. It's like Regina knows how much Karen likes Gretchen and wants to brag that she has Gretchen in her face. It's frustrating.
Lunch goes on. And Karen's jealousy and envy towards Regina grows secretly. She acts like the dumb blonde every expects her to be. She just wished as if for once Gretchen would look at her the way she looks at Regina. If Gretchen would hold her hand like she does to Regina. Maybe even taste what Gretchen lips are like. They look so soft and gentle. It isn't fair. Why does Regina get the girl Karen loved and knew for so long. It just isn't fair...
