A DROP

                                       Chapter- 1
                                    The Sunshine

A graveyard of lies is the garden
for the flowers of hope.
As the rain of despair
Is the only thing that awaits its growth.

It was a sunny day , the couple were leaving the kingdom for a travel to make business in another province. On the way they stop for a break near a tree in the farming field, where suddenly the wife noticed something in the gutter where the water is supposed to flow for the entire farm field.
The wife: my dear, I think there is a kid in the gutter.
The husband : a kid? where? I don't see anyone.
The wife: he is sitting there in the shadows, he has no clothes on.
The husband gets up and takes a few steps to peek into the gutter and sees the kid.
The husband: oh dear god,What is he doing there. Let's go to him.
The couple go around the gutter to find the slope which would make it easy to walk down into the gutter slowly.
The kid hadn't moved even after hearing that the couple were stepping near him, he was just staring at the sun.
The husband: kid what's your name? What are you doing here?
The kid turns his gaze towards the couple.

"Even on a day when there was a scorching sun, the kid's eyes looked as they would burn down the earth"

Thought the husband after seeing the boy's eyes.
He had dark hair, his skin brown, he had no clothes on, only pain in his eyes. There was ashes all over his body, as if he has born out of fire.
The boy just kept staring at the couple, and didn't utter a word.
The husband: We can help you, don't be scared, it's ok, are you hungry? 
The husband hands out a mango from his jute bag.
The kid nods his head left to right.
The husband is surprised, because only the rich could grow mangoes in that kingdom, and the kid wouldn't eat a fruit that most would do anything for.
The kid clinches his fist and opens his thumb, and brings it close to his mouth.
The wife immediately notices it and takes out the water container and hands it to the kid
The wife: the weather is hot, and I know he wants water.
The wife says to the husband in a firm voice, indicating it was obvious.
The kid grabs the water container and starts gulping the water , spilling some water on his body, revealing some of the bruises that he had.
The husband slowly reaches the boy's hand to hold it, but the kid immediately moves away, the tears start rolling down his face, but his expression on the face remained the same.
The wife understood that the kid might have had horrible things happened to him. She puts a hand on the husbands shoulder and looks at him.
The husband: it's ok kid, we are travelling to a different province from here, so come with us, it's dangerous for you to stay here.
The kid nods slowly up and down.
The husband carries him to the chariot, and makes him comfortable for the travel.

After a few days of travel, on the night when they were resting, the husband and wife have a conversation.
The husband: my love, I know how much you always wanted to be a mom, and unfortunately we couldn't have it, but let's adopt this boy as our son?
The wife: I was thinking the same my love, the kid is so nice, I always wanted a kid who behaved so well even at such a small age.
The husband: yes, once he wakes up in the morning, let's give him a name.
The wife: yes my dear, let's name him IZRIDOR, the god has given us this child, let's name him as the god's gift.

The next morning,
The wife: good morning IZRIDOR, from today you are our son, I'm your mother and he is your father. Now tell me what I am?
IZRIDOR: mother ( In a stuttering voice)
The wife: yes, that's my good boy
The husband: now tell me what do you call me?
IZRIDOR: ( nods left to right)
The wife and IZRIDOR laugh loud, and the husband with much patience said him again to call him the father. They spend their evening's teaching IZRIDOR some words and playing with him

On an evening when the couple were setting up the tent for the night's rest, the couple couldn't see IZRIDOR anywhere, so they went out searching for him.
The wife: you are so negligent about our boy, you couldn't keep an eye on him
The husband: I was paying attention to what he was doing, he was just playing with some rocks in the woods. But then suddenly he wasn't there.

The couple went into the woods looking for IZRIDOR.
They see IZRIDOR standing near a tree, staring at the root of the tree.
Then they go much closer to look what it was that he was staring.
The wife just stays there stunned as she sees IZRIDOR grab the snake's head, and the snake wraps all over the body of the little IZRIDOR
The husband slowly gets close to IZRIDOR and grabs the snake and throws it away. The wife runs and hugs IZRIDOR into her arms.
The wife: why my dear?, why did you go near the snake, I had warned you that in the woods there will be dangerous things for a small kid like you.
IZRIDOR: mother , snake is bad (points to the top of the tree where a bird had laid eggs and there were little birdies in the nest)
The wife: did you catch the snake to protect the little birdies, oh god, my dear never do that.
The couple sigh in relief, as they both hug IZRIDOR.

They reach the new province and the settled there to establish as merchants of different kingdoms who would make trade businesses, as they both keep close look on IZRIDOR, and made sure that the kid forgets the traumatic past and to live a normal life like any other kid would do, but deep down the couple knew, that IZRIDOR was no ordinary child after the snake incident that they witnessed in the woods.
