Chapter 1 Lemon
Chen Luobai
Friday afternoon.
The autumn sunset lit up half the sky red.
The basketball court can be seen from the classroom windows of Grade 1 and 2, and the last window has the best view.
When Zhou Anran was cleaning near the last window, he paused and looked out the window.
The teaching building is not close to the basketball court. The figures of the teenagers running freely on the basketball court are blurred by the distance. From a distance, they look like little people with blue and white lines running non-stop.
Zhou Anran thought he was very familiar with the man's figure and appearance, but he couldn't recognize him among the crowd of tiny people.
She withdrew her gaze and looked at the seat on the left side of the sixth row in the second group.
The place was already empty.
The books on the table were not arranged neatly, but not messy either.
Just like its owner.
He is a good student in the eyes of all teachers.
But he is not the kind of good student who follows the rules.
After class, he often walks more actively than anyone else.
The black schoolbag is often hung loosely on only one shoulder.
Because it was too troublesome, he refused to be a class leader, let alone a class representative.
"Ranran, have you finished sweeping?" Yan Xingqian's voice suddenly sounded.
Zhou Anran came back to his senses: "It will be fine soon."
After throwing away the cleaned garbage together, Zhou Anran and Yan Xingqian's mission was completed.
The two returned to their desks to pack their schoolbags. Yan Xingqian turned around and looked at the table behind her: "He Mingyu, why aren't you leaving yet?"
The boy at the back desk was wearing glasses and was writing a test paper. He looked up at them and said, "I'll be leaving soon."
"Then let's go first." Yan Xingqian didn't say anything more, "Let's go, Ranran."
Class 2 is on the second floor.
Zhou Anran walked downstairs arm in arm with her.
Her parents and Yan Xingqian's parents are good friends. They live in the same community and have played together since childhood.
They have to take the bus back to the community outside the east gate of the school.
To go to the east gate from the teaching building, you have to pass the basketball court.
Thinking that she would see him again later, Zhou Anran became excited, her steps became lighter, and even the heavy schoolbag on her shoulders seemed to be lighter.
On the court, he is always the most eye-catching sight.
Many students passing by, both male and female, often look over unconsciously.
Zhou Anran blended in with the crowd and was not very conspicuous.
This was one of the few times during the week when she could look at him openly and unobtrusively.
Halfway down the stairs, Yan Xingqian wanted to ask Zhou Anran if she wanted to buy a cup of milk tea outside the school before going back. When she turned her head, she saw the girl next to her with long and curly eyelashes, a slightly upturned corner of her mouth, and a small dimple on her cheek that was so white that it was almost glowing.
