I screamed in terror as I tried to get Daniel off Matthew. Everything flashed before my eyes. At this point Matthew probably had a broken nose. I saw Matthew never give up. He never fully laid down on the floor. He always kept his head up and his arms in front of him. He was not giving up even if there was a river of blood flowing down the white carpet.

"Did you at least call an ambulance?" My voice cracked as I asked.
"He was fine, just some stitches and was back to normal. Sweetheart, I'm sorry my son got a little ...out of hand." Mr. and Mrs. Harverford sat in front of me. They had grins on their faces and all around the conference room were men with suitcases. I was suffocating. Barry directed a smile at me. He looked out of place next to those soulless freeloaders.

"Let's get down to business and forget this small bump on the road" Mr.Harverford said freakishly calm.

"I suppose you know Mr.Ramoz explained everything to me..about the shortcut." I said softly. I felt like a zombie. I felt useless.

"Yes, he informed us you were aware. You wouldn't have to sign a lot. We're even showing how humble we are with you by not making you sign a prenup. Therefor you can ask for any amount of money if you choose to get divorced."

That set a fire in me.

"Oh, I will get divorced. You people are insane if you think I could ever learn to love that wild animal out there. I feel disgusted that I even consider choosing to bare a child from him. But I'll do it. If it means not having anything to do with you people in a shorter amount of time." I gritted my teeth together as tears fell down my face.
"Now please send all these people away so we can have an actual human conversation." I slammed my hand on the table.

Mr.Harverford made some hand movements and before I knew it they were gone. As Barry was leaving he placed his hand on my shoulder and smiled as if it were the last time he'd ever see me. Then, It was just my in laws and me in that room.

"Honey, I know how hard this must be. Trust me from woman to woman I understand. But this is the only way. I'm sorry.. I can't help but to smile. I've been dreaming of the day were Danny would give me a grandchild. I just can't wait!" Mrs.Harverford had a Southern accent. She had black hair and still stunning. From my understanding she was only 50 while Mr.Harverford was 65. Her voice was soothing enough to calm me. But her words pricked my entire heart.

"So it's done then..can I go see my friend now?"I asked impatiently.

"Sure honey, and I'll call frank over here to bring you new dress options and fix you up." Mrs. Harverford spoke for her husband before he could hold me back.
She gave me half a smile as I got up and ran out of that room.

"Matt, I'm so sorry. I don't know what's wrong with him. Please tell me you don't hate me. God, I'm such a fucking fuck up." I whispered as I slammed my face against his chest and bloody shirt.
He ran his fingers through my now torn up hair and mumbled "I could never hate you princess." He kissed my forehead slowly. I could feel how much it hurt for him to move.

"You don't have to stay. In fact I'd much rather you went home to clean up and then go to a hospital." I said.

"I know..he told me to stay away. When he attacked me. He gripped my shirt and whispered to stay away from you or else. The next thing I know I look like I did when we went to that bar and that very old man decided to call you a slut. Remember?"

I giggled and smiled "yea, I wish we would of known he used to be a professional wrestler back in the 70's."

He wrapped his arms around me and sighed. I couldn't help it but I had to hide my tears.
