Whenever Carlisle closed his eyes he could see Celeste's beautiful brown eyes staring right back at him. So he tended to lay down, letting his eyes fall shut. Alice said he wouldn't see her physically for another week or so. But he was determined to see her as much as he could until then, even if they were just daydreams.Jasper hadn't asked Alice what she had seen or even what had happened when they went to the park. But he could feel that his father was happier and that's all that mattered to him. Rosalie on the other hand, wouldn't stop pestering Carlisle. She needed to know even if it wasn't any of her business. But deep down, they all knew what had happened. Deep down they all knew that Alice had seen Carlisle's future, his mate. But Rosalie couldn't bear the thought of another human waltzing their way into their lives. She wanted Carlisle to admit that he met someone even though she knew that he wouldn't. Not yet, anyways.
Emmett was neutral. He didn't really mind. He kept to himself and only really thought about it when Rosalie would complain about it to him. Carlisle's life was his own and they had no say in it. That's what Emmett had told her.Although Carlisle was happier, underlying doubt still whirled through his mind. Not only about Celeste but of Edward too. His first son had isolated and separated himself from the family. It had only been a month since the Cullen's had moved away from Forks but he didn't know how long Edward would suffer due to this. Maybe in the future, Edward would realize that he didn't need to go to such drastic lengths to give Bella a human life if it's clear that's not what she wanted. But Carlisle also wondered if Edward would ever get to meet Celeste. From what Alice has said, it's obvious that Celestine is in their lives for the long run. But is Edward? Will he ever come back?
Nobody was sure. But it wasn't worth pondering over. Not for now, at least. For now, Carlisle wanted to focus on his work, his children and a special red head.

When Celestine had returned home that following night, she couldn't get that perfect greek statue out of her mind. The image of his face was always rubbing through her mind. She could swear she'd hear his voice sometimes. Like a faint whisper in the back of her head. It made her heart skip a beat but it also unnerved her. Why was she thinking of this man so much? They had only just met, after all. Probably only talked for around... 20 minutes? But apparently that's all the time she needed to fall for this mysterious man.
