9. LOOKS LIKE THE PROBLEM SOLVED ITSELF

It really kept Y/N head buisy. She had support of Mayor and his daughter, but still they couldn't just hang her for nothing. But one morning problem solved itself. Y/N woke up and saw Mayor wife cring, while Mayor himself was taking with someone on the phone angrily. Y/N looked at Mrs Lipp with curious. She wiped her tears and looked and Y/N with sadness.
- They killed her - she said trembling - Somebody killed my little girl
Normal person in Y/N situation would probably be sad too. After all she lost her biggest supporter and ally. But Y/N was far from normal person. Where everyone would see lost, she saw oportunity. She went to local market where she found out that not only Mayfair was killed. Billy Taupe was too. And who had a strong conection with Billy Taupe? Little, local singer - Lucy Gray. I didn't take long time for Y/N to connect things. Probably Billy Taupe was trying to get close to Lucy again, being drunk. Mayfair found him. Maybe they had an argument. Lucy doesn't carry a gun everyday. But a peacekeeper definitely know how to use a gun. So they person that killed Mayfair and Billy was nobody else but Coriolanus Snow.

- You have a visitor - said one of the officers
Coriolanus and the rest of cadets were eating dinner after looking out for Mayor daughter killer. He was lost in his thoughts before officer called him. Should he really leave with Lucy? Should he leave all of his hopes and ambitions gor her? The officer passed the Capitan office. Where was he taking him then. They led him outsite to the court and left. Coriolanus look around. There was only one person standing on that court. Y/H women, her H/L, H/C were moving in the wind. She was wearing a burgundy cloak, made from well, expensive material. It was Capitol fashion. Then she turned around and there were no doubts anymore. It was Y/N L/N herself, standing in front of Coriolanus in District 12. She smiled lightly, walked to him and hugged him gently.
- Long time no see - she whispered, as Coriolanus hugged her too
He took a deep breath, hiding his head in her neck, sniffing her scent. He didn't know how much he really missed her. Missed her smiles, jokes, taking his hand in hers, being there to help him anytime. He felt bad. After all of this she came to him. He left her with no goodbye. He hadn't called her. He hadn't wrote a letter. But she still came to check on him.
- I missed you - she stand back
- I missed you too - he answered
- Who would have thought that you will follow your father way and become a solder in District 12 too - she said - What an irony
Then she point the bench in the court corner.
- Shall we sit? - she asked - I think we have a lot to take about
Coriolanus nod and followed her.
- Where you in the bar? - he asked, remebering the tissue
- I was - Y/N answered - Missed her beautiful voice. After all she really has talent
Y/Ns smiled faded as grabbed Coriolanus hand.
- I know about Mayfair and Billy Taupe - she said
- Yeah, it is a terrible thing. I hope they find who did it quickly - Coriolanus answered uncomforable
- No, Coryo - his heart melted as she called him that after this whole time - I know that it was you and Lucy
- Ho-how? - he almost jumped - How did you?
- I know you - she squeezed his hand - Better than anyone do
- We hid the guns - said Coriolanus - They won't find out
- I wouldn't be so positive Coryo - Y/N grabbed his cheek with her hand - Mayor knows that Lucy had a beef with Mayfair. She is his first suspect
- She wouldn't - mumbled the boy
- Wouldn't she? - Y/N said softly - What do you really know about her? How long do you know her?
Y/N stood up.
- I just want you to think about it Coryo - she said - You will do what you want. Just don't let emotions take control over you. Promise me
- I promise - he answered
- Goodbye Coryo - she hugged him - In case we won't see each other again, just know that I would always be proud that I was your friend
She went away, leaving Coriolanus with his own thoughts. Y/N really known him the best. She always was a help for him. She stayed loyal after all this time. She still cared about him. She was right. He didn't know real Lucy at all. What have he done with his life? Month ago he was well prospecting student with a political career in front of him. Now he was not only a cadet in District 12, but also soon to be executed because of murder. A well known and respected family of Snows will end with him - a great failure.

It wasn't the end for Y/Ns journey in the barracks. She knew that Coriolanus will realize his mistake. By the look in his eyes she knew that he was still the same boy she met years ago. He still wanted career and success more than anything, even Lucy Gray. He just need a little more help. Now she was entering the Capitans office, smiling proudly.
- It's pleasure to meet you, Miss - said the Capitan, kissing her hand - We don't have a lot of Capital visitors in twelve
- Oh, I can tell, Sir - Y/N sat in front of his desk - It is a horrible place. More horrible that I evee imagined
- I have to agree with that - Capitan sat down - I heard that you want to talk to me about something
- I know that I may sound stupid or desperate - she started
- I'm sure that is nothing stupid if you traveled from Capitol to twelve because of that - the man interupped her
- My great friend was send here a few weeks ago - Y/N continued - Coriolanus Snow I'm talking about. He comes from a well known family in Capitol. His father was once a general during a war. Crassus Snow. He died in a battle here in twelve. Coriolanus got lots of his leading and strategical potencial. But he have an enemy back there in Capitol, that had him send here. I can't do much there but I thought maybe I can talk to you here. Maybe you will help
Y/N looked at the Capitan with sadness and worry.
- Well with the things you are saying - he answered - I'm really suprised. I heard about Crassus Snow. He was a great general
He gave Y/N a smiling look.
- We can't let his son waste his potencial - he continued - Can we?
Y/N smilied at him brightly.
- I will sent him to two. For Capitans training. Maybe if he would finish it with good grades, he could even come back to Capitol
- Thank you, so much! - Y/N stood up and hugged the Capitan - I knew you would understand
