"Dungeon close!" ordered Peter.
The young man would very much love to stay inside to explore and study the interior more, but he have more significant matters to prioritize over the quick inspection of the Livelihood Dungeon. So Peter decisively decided to do the most important matter at hand and it can only be done outside.
Peter went out. He first need to find food to fill his now grumbling stomach. That's the case for Ichiro as well. It'll give him peace of mind if he knew that the wolf is full so it won't have any thoughts of eating him.
.
.
.The young lad's stomach twisted and turned when he saw the vomit-inducing state the gigantic bear left behind. He looked away from it but his stomach still keep churning. For a modern man like Peter, a grotesque scene like this is just too much.
Not too far from Peter, there was the dead body of that gigantic boar, bloody and torn into several pieces.
Peter stepped a foot of his forward, then another, and soon, a rythme was formed. From then on, the young man really took off, hurrying away from where that brutal carnage took place.
He's terrified at the thought that that gigantic bear coming back, afraid of being brutally killed and eaten by it.
On Peter's side, the now tamed wolf named Ichiro was running side by side with his master, matching its master's speed while holding onto a piece of the dead boar's flesh he have sneaked away when his master was doing his best to avoid the grotesque sight. The wolf was chewing the tough and bloody meat with gusto using its resilient mouth and sharp set of teeth.
The both of them started traversing the road made of dirt with the goal of finding the right path leading to the exit of this woodland in the his mind.
Peter is hoping that the wolf, Ichiro would understand the instructions he was giving him. He's been trying to tell Ichiro to smell the road to help in tracking the exit for every minute since way earlier. If his modern knowledge is also a common sense in this foreign world, a wolf like him has to have an exceptional sense of smell.
Peter's actually way too excited with the thought of seeing something similar to Earth's medieval civilization. All of this bottled anticipation is bad for his heart.
But first and foremost, he need to get out of this place as soon as possible, alive. He's still having flashbacks of his encounter with Ichiro and the huge boar and gigantic bear. He's not familiar with this place. That's why Peter's not sure where's the danger lurking around and when it'll strike.
While trying to find the way out for quite some time, Peter shifted his attention on finding food for the two of them. The young lad tried to climb the trees around them to get some fruits to eat but these trees are proven to be too high for him. Even though he was embarrased to admit it, Peter conceded the job of being the main hunter to the lone member of his family, the wolf, Ichiro. Instead, he started to focus all of his attention and energy on guarding the wolf's blindspots in preparation for any possible sneak attacks that might come their way.
It's been merely a minute or so after letting Ichiro be the main hunter that they found their first prey, and a group of pure white bunnies already entered their line of sights. This group of rabbits were oblivious to the danger that predators have set their eyes on them. They're too busy stuffing their mouths with wild green grasses that they never would have expect what's about to befall them.
A blur went pass Peter's side before he could even react. He reacted half a beat later by looking where the blur went past him. His attention to the said place didn't last long. He followed the squicking sound upfront where he saw it happening. The majority of the pure white rabbits scattered at every direction in panic. Peter also saw Ichiro with his back turned on him was actually doing something. He walked forward to see what the wolf was doing. He immediately felt nauseous by what he saw him doing, "urgh!" Peter almost threw up upon seeing Ichiro ripped a still spasming rabbit. The bloody set of fangs of the wolf are on display as he stares towards his human master, Peter.
Did I make the right decision by following this guy? Ichiro swallowed a few times as he questioned himself.
The two, a human and a wolf continued their journey, while at it, Ichiro also continued hunting for his own food. Peter on the other hand, completely lost his appetite for now.
...
"Finally!" celebrated Peter joyously.
He was able to exit the dangerous woodland successfully through Ichiro's help, then the sighting of a wide but simple settlement which he think was a village came into view which added to the joy he was feeling.
They walked on the lushy meadows leading towards the village proper.
The fragrant breeze pleasantly assaulted Peter's nostrils. A smile was formed on his face when a few cows registered on his sense of sight. He lost his attention on those cows when he finally see something coming their way, and when it got close enough to him, Peter realized that it is a human.
When the realization dawned upon him, he opened the portal leading to the Livelihood Dungeon and hurriedly sent Ichiro back in it. That's because the human that he just identified as a child started to hysterically shout that he feared will gain this village people's attention.
Peter's face began to be drained off its color upon realizing his mistake. He was overcame with excitement that he failed to remember something so basic. He forgot to hide Ichiro before approaching the human settlement.
Peter panicked more after learning what he heard the boy was saying.
"There's a wolf approaching! Hide your cows everyone!" the young boy ran hurriedly towards the place where the reared animals are at.
