Chapter 3

We went to the mess hall. I stayed near zigzag and magnet. They made me feel safe. I didn't trust anyone outside of D tent. They were just whistling at me most times. But X-ray never had any of it. He would tell the guys off. I sat down with this slop on my tray I shrugged. I've eaten worse. X-ray took my bread. I nodded at him before he could say anything. I ate the slop on my plate. The boys started to ask. "So why are you here." Squid asked his mouth full of food. "Arson and graffiti." I smiled. "What about you boys what are in for?" I asked. "I set firecracker off in my school." Zigzag smiled his eyes wide. I swear this dude is a psychopath. "I stole a puppy!" Magnet smiled. I smiled I loved animals so I could understand. "Some guys tried to steal my pop corn so I beat them up." Armpit mumbled. "Sold fake drugs." X-ray laughed. I chuckled, that sounded like fun. Zero didn't tell me, Stanley stole a pair of shoes, squid had broke into his school and did graffiti. I laughed at the boys. They were good kids who made some dumb decisions. "ALL RIGHT GURL SCOTS OUT AND TO YOUR TENTS!" Mr.sir yelled. All of d tent went to our tent. We talked for a while. And finally all of us started going to bed. I had insomnia and I couldn't sleep. I hated it. I felt someone staring I look over and see zigzag staring. I turn to my side and look at him "why are you up?" I asked quietly. "Can't sleep. What about you." He smiled "same reason." We smiled at each other. "Scot over he whispered getting out of his cot." I scooted over and he played next to me. "My little sister when she couldn't sleep I would lay with her until she fell asleep." He smiled. He was sweet. I got a good look at him and he was kind of cute. I smiled as he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me under his chin. I smiled a fell asleep soon after.
