The soft sound of George Jones's The Grand Tour played on the walkman as Montana sat in Mr. Miyagi's shed and looked through the various books from the Mills family library in which Ali let her borrow, but she couldn't find anything on time travel, as there was no scientific explanation.
As Montana turned the page in her book, she felt a gentle tap on her shoulder. Pushing pause on the walkman, and taking the headphones off her head, she glanced up and found Mr. Miyagi. "Oh, hi Mr. Miyagi, how long have you been there?"
Mr. Miyagi smiled as he gave Montana a cup of tea, then sat down across from her. "Not long, Montana-San. Been reading long time." he said as he sipped his tea, then continued. "Found answer you are looking for?"
Montana sighed as she closed the book, then placed it to the side. "Mr. Miyagi, I have read every book that Ali let me borrow, but there's no scientific explanation on time travel."
"Looking for answer in wrong place." Mr. Miyagi said, and Montana glanced at him. "Walkman brought you here, yes?" Montana nodded and he continued. "Perhaps that is your way back."
Montana had been listening to the walkman since she got here. Surely it would have taken her back by now. "I've been listening to the walkman since I got here. Surely it would have taken me back by now. I have another purpose here."
"Maybe time to tell father who you are." Mr. Miyagi said. "You have purpose, that purpose to tell father goodbye."
Montana set her tea cup down and glanced at the older man in front of her. "I'm starting to believe you and Ali are angels or something."
"Montana-San, Miyagi ordinary man." Mr. Miyagi said.
Montana shook her head no. "No. You knew right away I wasn't from this time. It was almost like, you were meant to help me. How did you know?"
"Miyagi know everything." Mr. Miyagi said as he set his tea cup down. "Montana-San, you ready to tell father goodbye, yes?"
Montana wiped a tear she didn't realize had fallen. Was she really ready to say goodbye to Johnny? A father whom, in her eyes was perfect, despite his years of mistakes? She'll never be ready to say goodbye, but if she wants to go back home, she'll have to say goodbye. "Yes." the blonde tearfully nodded
"Find your balance, Montana-San." Mr. Miyagi said. "Whole life have balance, everything better."

The next day, a Sunday, Montana sat in her empty Reseda apartment and the soft tune of Tammy Wynette's Help Me Make it Through the Night played on a low volume. As she turned the page in her book, a soft knock was heard at the door. Setting the book on the coffee table, the blonde stood up, and walked to the front door, and opened it to reveal Johnny.
Montana smiled warmly. "Hi Johnny." she greeted
Johnny smiled at the blonde in front of him, and replied "Hi, Tommy said you wanted to talk to me, is everything alright?" he asked
