I heard the guards call my name from the door, they told me to pack my things for my release. I've been waiting to get out for five fucking years. Time moves by so slow in this place. I was arrested for first degree burglary with a deadly weapon 5 years ago when I was 10, but it wasn't even my fault my mom put the blame on me, which tells you exactly how much a disgusting of a person she is, but we'll get into that later. I was being released to my aunt, my mom died after I got in jail and my dad died when I was 7, so my only family was my aunt, Mariana Perez and my cousin, Maddy Perez.
My aunt is a drug dealer, and I was super close to her after my mom went bat shit crazy on me after my dad died. She started using and it got really bad to the point where she didn't even recognize me or her sister. She would disappear for weeks on weeks, at one point she was gone for almost a year, I was only 8 years old. That's when my aunt picked me up from my house because she knew I would be there by my self. My aunt worked 7 days a week and her daughter, Maddy was only 13 so they both couldn't look after me. So she dropped me off at her friends house who she trusted, fezco. His grandma would watch me and some other little kid that was my age. I don't remember his name. I remember I stayed at fezcos house overnight on Tuesdays and Fridays. I never went to school, all the good schools were 50 minutes away from where my aunt lived and she didn't want to put me in a shitty school I guess, so she tried her best to still have me learn.
I was in one of the waiting rooms waiting for Mariana to pick me up. I finally heard my name being called by a female guard. She made me follow her into the front lobby and I saw her, as soon as I saw my aunt I ran up to her and hugged her so tight, i only saw her a hand full of times while I was doing my time. I was mixed with emotions when she was holding me in her arms, i started crying. I was happy I was finally out and being able to see my family, but I was also full of guilt. Maddy came up from behind Mariana and screamed how happy she was to see me. "LILIANAAAAA~" Maddy squealed "Hi baby" Mariana said to me while I was still holding on to her tight. We got to their truck, me and Maddy sat in the back seat because she said she wanted to sit by me.
"Lily your eyelashes are so long wth" maddy starts saying while getting in my face. "Really? I never really noticed there's no mirrors in the cells" I said back "I don't know what I would do without a mirror- for five fucking years tooooo nuh uhhhhh.." Mariana took us to the house and told me I'd b sharing a room with Maddy, which was fine with me I was used to having a "Bunkie".
"Let me show you our rooommm!" Maddy said excitedly I followed Maddy up the stairs to a big room, there was already two beds set up and one had snacks, and a bag of clothes, so I assumed that one was mine. "Y'all really went all out for me?" I said to Maddy with a smile. "Hell yeah, I couldn't stop talking about you once I heard you were living with us, I packed some of my old clothes for you and bought a bunch of snacks, Idk if you'll like the clothes tho, you should for sure try them on, like now." Maddy said "Thank you Maddy that's sweet, but can I try them on after I shower?" I said "Shit yeah, the bathroom is out there to the left, there's towels on the shelves." Maddy replied
It's been 5 hours since I took a shower and tried Maddy's old clothes on which led to a fashion show. Me and Maddy were in the living room chilling while my aunt was out. "Hey liliana?" Maddy broke the silence as I was on the tv and she was scrolling through her phone. "Yeah wassup?" I responded "Are you down going to a party tonight...?" She said with a smirk "For real? Hell yeah I'm down" I said with excitement "YESS! COME ON I WANNA DRESS YOU!!" Maddy screamed We went to her room and she started digging in her closet for something for me to wear. "OMG PERFECT! Try this on." She said while throwing clothes at me. "You're only 15 so I don't want it being to slutty..but it's a party so" Maddy said while i was putting the outfit on.

We arrived at the party and Maddy found her way to her best friend Cassie so I was on a couch just sitting there, I can't believe she ditched me. I heard a voice calling my name from in front of me. "Liliana??" "FEZ?!?" I jumped up from the couch and gave him a hug Once the hug broke he asked me "I didn't know you were out? How you fucking been?" "I've been alright fez, how have you been- and who's this?" I replied "Shii I've been good, oh this is my lil brother, ash, yooo why you at a party with these weird people anyway?" He said back "I'm here with my cousin Maddy." I said as I pointed to the crowd of drunk teens "Ight well ima catch up with you later, I got business to do" he said while signaling ash to follow him while he walked off. Ash must of been that little boy I used to hang out with while I stayed at their place.
It's been a few hours now and I've found my way to a "few" drinks and some blunts. Drinking and smoking is basically how I lived through jail. That shit was everywhere and the guards didn't pay attention. I had no fucking idea where Maddy went. I went outside while I could barely walk and felt like I was gonna puke everywhere, I heard someone call my name but all I could do is sit down against the house. I felt hands on me and whoever was doing it was putting their hands in my shirt. I tried the best I could to keep him off of me but I was drunk and high what could I do? Seconds later I heard the guys head being hit to what must've been the back of a gun along with a body drop. Atp I drank to much and couldn't make out what was going on but I could still hear my surroundings a little. "Liliana? Shittttt... FEZ!" Ash said in a hurry Fez came around the corner of the house.. "yoooo don't be yelling my name like th- bro what the fuck happened?" "This dick was all up tryna touch her and I was by the tree doing what you told me to do and realized what was going on.. so I came up from behind him and knocked him out." Ash explained "Fuckkk man where Maddy at?" "She left with some big dude a while back" "Put her in the car I'll be there in 5. Call Mariana tell her she's okay and I'll bring her back to the house tomorrow.."
When I opened my eyes I saw ash, my head was resting on his legs. Fez was already driving. "Yo fez she's awake what do I do?" Ash said to fez "We'll be home inna few bro"
It was the next day and I woke up in a room i wasn't familiar with. I stumbled out of bed with a pounding headache. I made my way out the room and I saw my aunt talking with fezco, and ash was sitting on the couch. "Lilianaaaa rise and shine!" My aunt yelled once she saw me. Fez and ash looked over to me, I looked down at what I was wearing and i had a big ass hoodie on that wasn't mine. "What happened? What am I wearing?" "Yo ash let you borrow that it was hella cold last night." "Come on Lily let's get you something to eat.. it's 1pm let's go to McDonalds." My aunt said to me I walked towards fez.. "thank you for letting me stay." I said to him followed by a hug "It wasn't the first time kid." Before I walked out the door I waved goodbye to ash and he waved back.
